Does anyone have or saw an Epiq tool cart in person? I am debating between one and a KRSC246. I would really like one since it will match my box but I am having a hard time justifying 5k for something I have never looked at in person. My driver hasn't even saw one yet.

It debuted at the dealer show last summer. It is similar to a krsc246 only it has epiq edge protectors and drawers. I don't know all the specifics, I can't seem to find anything even a model number on the snap on site.

KRSC100 only has 2 drawers and no till. this one has 6 or 7 drawers and a flip up stainless top like the KRSC46/KRSC246. Like the OP I'm kinda curious to see one up close but will wait for some big rebates before pulling the trigger on one. If I can't strike a deal on one I'll be "settling" for the KRSC246

I had heard rumors about this new cart, but nothing for certain. I gotta say, as much as I like my Epiq box and would like a cart to match, I don't care for this new cart. Doesn't fit the way I use a cart. I don't like a flip up lid. Top surface gets loaded with stuff when I work. I don't really get the huge cart thing - so many seem more like small roll around bottom "box" to store stuff in rather than a take to the work "cart" you pile stuff on while working a job.

And the Green Micah (also my box color) has been taken out of the list of colors. I already told SO that when they offer me a KRSC100 in GM, I'll consider buying one.

Its available, no way its not...heck I've got a quote for the KRSC100 in John Deere Green :D and that aint even a "Standard" Color.

I'm just waiting for my driver to be where I want to be $$$ on that cart. On a standard color (Extreme Green, Red, Black, Etc) he's really dang close...on the Tractor Green he's at MSRP minus a few bucks...I can deal with a Red one if he can be where I want to be.

I agree with you on your useage of cart...I'm the same way. But the more I think of it, I may just end up making my own...I recently got 2 Royal Blue KRL drawers which are 30" wide or so (cant recall)...might just do that. I'm not in the mood to spend lately.

Yeah, when they told me GM was out completely ( as in no longer used in production, just selling off stock / existing orders) , I said to the SO man "If they want to sell me one of these, they'll remember how to do GM again! Pass that up the food chain...." still waiting for an answer.....even if they do offer it to me, I doubt they'll do any good price on it....Kinda on the fence since I don't really need it......but hey, some people buy boats, some by tools / boxes and other stuff;)

The dimensions are great for people who like deep boxes but their pricing is obscene, even for Snap-On. Nearly 5G for a cart is just flat out ridiculous. Thats nice big KRL tool box territory straight off the truck (@ a deal), never mind craigslist. They'll be selling those things at show discount prices closer to 3 grand, mark my words, and they'll still probably struggle to move many. At list price its a no brainer, get the 246...or two. You'll still come out ahead.

Last year my SO guy told me that the Mica Green was going to be discontinued. I was still going to get it, but then thought about the mismatched colors if i wanted to add to the box. I think it is definitely the best color.

I saw a Mobile Work Station in Mica Green, either in a flyer or in a catalog, and asked my guy about it. I asked if they were bringing the color back, and he said "as far as I know, they were not. This pushes me toward extreme green.

Snap-On will make a tool box in any non-standard color you want. Just costs extra.

My take on the big cart is having most of the usual use hand tools in reach as, I move around and take the cart with me. I like not having to go more than two steps, to get, to what I need. I will have to check out this big cart.

I have been thinking about using a KRL1056 as a cart. I will have to compare the KRL1056 to this new car. I like the drawer layout of the KRL1056 better than the KRSC246.

To do this, do you just talk with your SO guy?

Yes, and if they don't know about it ask them to talk to their DM. Snap-On will do any color and any drawer configuration for an additional charge. Just be prepared to wait.

If you dont want to pay for custom color...wait for Rock n Roll truck...they do colors, trims & custom drawer config's "free".

Talked to my SO guy long time ago about Tractor green...he said the same thing if you want a pink with purple trim, its possible justs costs him stupid money to change stuff up. He told me to sit tight and wait for the Rock n Roll truck to come to town and get pricing then as they have the power to do custom stuff "free".

I guess pricing is in the eye of the beholder... Price I got for the KRSC100 in Tractor Green was 100.00 less then MSRP. I've had previous pricing for the same cart in a standard color under that....so yeah the paint & trim did cost more in my mind. I was prepared to pull the trigger had they matched my previously quoted price on a standard color...Now I'm back to sit back and wait for a smokin deal mode...my guy knows I want a KRSC100...

rock and roll cab did custom drawers for free, std colors were free, the clear coat colors still had a upcharge he couldnt remove

yeah, same deal on my last box - custom drawer layout and picked a color for no charge, not to mention being an all around good deal - good trade number and good discount / incentives.
I'm just wondering about the color thing, since more than one SO guy has said "no go" on the Green Micah for a cart....maybe I need to shake some cages further up the line....

I'm a little behind and just saw this thread searching around, that is sweet. Too big for me, but a few yrs ago would have been a great box. Kinda wish I had started out with a big cart then bought a box. This thing is bigger than my first truck brand box even. I want something in epic trim like the 36" with a sliding top.

A little thread revival:

After much debate and discussion with assorted SO reps, I have been convinced that green micah is completely gone / NLA for anything. So I caved in and told the SO man to work me up a deal for a KRSC100 in tractor green. It's supposed to take 6 weeks 'cause they say there are none of these cart stocked anywhere unless you happen to find one leftover from a show / dealer meeting.

It's here!

Color is a little off in the pic since it's dark and rainy today and had to use flash -- it's a little darker shade in real life.

Damn that's nice! I really like it...and not exactly "regret" not getting mine but your really making me think twice about it again..

ive seen one in person its called the "epiq side kick" its basically a single bank epiq,

No this is a sidekiq:
KEMN361A1PJH.jpg

This does NOT have ISO-ride casters, a folding top, prybar storage, or a $5000 price tag. Rumor has it this new one is around $3000 MSRP.

But you are correct about both being a single bank epiq roll cart

So its basically a full drawer version of their mobile work station. 3k though? Another insane price.

"Well we added 3 more drawers so lets increase the price 100%."

Not trying to thread jack, but how does one request the rock n roll truck to visit? I found their main Facebook and sent them a message requesting more info. They said only my dealer can schedule them a visit/i cannot make custom orders straight from me to the rock n roll. My dealer is the type that wouldn't want to schedule them...
