The 75 turns over my mustang's 4.6 w/ a 1.9L TVS blower on top of it without a car battery in the car.
Useful for checking compression, spark, priming the fuel system ect without having the battery in the car taking up space while I'm working on it.

Although I'm not sure this is recommended use.

Does this one offer changeable fuse at the positive and negative battery cables I have had these blow on my older jumpstart?

The link in the cables are actually not fuses on our model, but diodes on a semi-conductor that prevent reverse current. The 7785 gets beefier clamps and extra diodes, and soon the 7775 is rolling out with these same beefier clamps/cables/diodes standard.
If there is a problem with the cables or diodes like you’ve had in the past, we do stock replacements and your warranty covers any issue like this. You wouldn’t need to send us back the cables, we would just send you a replacement set in this case.

Do you have actual pictures of the clamps? Hard to tell how the clamps are constructed. I find most portable jump starter clamps very lacking. They work well at first, but will eventually break when you need it the most. Warranty doesn't help if you're on the side of the road.

Here are some images. The design increased clamping pressure around two-fold, and the resistance to twisting/torquing at the joint is exponentially improved - which is the main request/feedback we got at SEMA from users about all portable jump starter models out there today.

First we just used a thicker and better grade material with a bigger spring, but saw the clamps were still wanting to torque when opened which made the clamp want to clamp on the battery terminal off-square and lead to it popping off the terminal. And we didn't want to lose clamping pressure, so a small spring was out.

It turns out the spring was binding on the center metal joint/pin making it do this torquing, we also wanted to remove as much exposed metal on the clamp as possible for safety reasons as you wouldn't believe the range of :headscrat stories we hear when users send back some of these pieces. So we went with a diesgn without the pin with the larger spring and it's a marked improvement all the way around.

Thanks for the picture! Looks better than some of clamps out there. I'd buy one to try out if I didn't already have a couple jump starters. lol.

Got a question about these mini jump packs. I have a JNC660 and love it, actually used it this morning. I've been looking at these smaller jump packs just because of their size and weight compared to my JNC jump pack. I've read some stories about them(not specifically the astro one) starting on fire or melting down. From what I have read it sounds like it was from people leaving them on the car for too long. I like to hook my jump pack up sometimes when trouble shooting so I don't kill the battery. Or if the battery is somewhat weak I'll hook my jump pack up so I can get accurate readings when using a fluke for electrical testing. Or even if the car doesn't have a battery I will hook up the jump pack to move it or do testing without a battery in the car. Can I do that with these mini jump packs? I believe I read not to leave them hooked up for more then 10 seconds? Are these only good to use for a quick jump start?

Hey signcrafter,
We haven't had any issues of the sort with our units, but it does specify in the manual not to leave the unit attached to the car battery for over 30 seconds, or there is risk of damaging the unit.
