I picked up one of these and thought they were OK but not great. I do not like the fixtures with no pull string.

I went to 1000bulbs.com and picked up LED tubes for about $10 dollars each. Installed them in my old fixtures and found it to be a much better solution.

Only problem is most of us have T12 shop light fixtures, the bulbs I seen on 1000bulbs.com are T8 or will they still fit?

Yes, T8 bulbs will fit in a T12 fixture. You will be bypassing the ballast so that is a non-issue.

i picked up one of these to go over the workbench. i already have 4 4' 2 bulb fixtures, but this really lit up the work area. i'm happy with the light, except i wish it had a more traditional installation instead of the wall plug.

I put socket adapters in my garage opener and I'm using the wall switch to turn on the lights. the sockets are rated at 60w each, so no problems.

Finally made it to Costco yesterday, thanks OP. I picked up 12 of these. Going to run 3 rows of 4 in my 26 x 34 garage, hopefully it's enough.

I've a 42x60 pole barn I've just wired up with 24 of these - 105 square feet per light. That's a little more dense than I've seen others install them, but eyes are aging and I'd not seen any reports of them up high. I've got them mounted to the bottom of trusses at just under 15'.

Yes...it's nice to have a buddy with rolling scaffolding.

Excellent light, even at this height. I was initially planning on going T5/T8 given my perceived cost of LED, but at $40/unit this was a no-brainer. At 912W for the entire building, I didn't even bother splitting them up - just plugged all into one circuit with 3-way switches at each entrance.

No real control over cell phone camera settings, so pics and videos don't really tell the whole story - but here's a quick YouTube video in addition to the pic below.

Good to know you're happy, mine will be about 74 sq feet per light, and I was worried that I didn't have enough. My ceiling is only 10.5 feet, too.

Which store in NH did you score those at? I'm not sure it'll be close to me but I gotta know if I can get them 'locally' or whether I have to shop online. Thanks!

Oh Snap Fellas looks like there's a coupon for these lights in next months Coupon Book. $31.99 each.

BTW I've had Costco match their Coupon book if you bought them within 30 days of the Coupon becoming active. So anyone who picked these up in January should be able to take their receipt to the CS desk and get them to price match the book on Jan. 29th.

want to take a pic at night, I wonder how much the clearview panels are washing out the light?

****, I just bought 6 a couple weeks ago.

Your name looks familiar, did you use to be on Ranger-Forums years ago? DSG 04-05 if I remember right?

Bring the receipt and the coupon to customer service, they are really good about honoring coupons for past orders if its within a recent timeframe.

Take your receipt back to Costco and see if they will refund the difference in the sale price. They used to do this if sale was within 30 days of your purchase. Haven't tested this policy in years though. If they won't, buy new ones on sale and return old full price ones - that's kind of a pain tho.

Or buy new ones at the sale price, and take them straight to return with the old full price receipt. Much less of a pain

You can buy Costco cash cards through their website and get in the store w/o a membership.

You give up their unlimited warranty though.

I assume I need a costco membership....rats

^ That. Buy a gift card, or have someone buy one for you, and you can get in without needing a membership, though without the after-the-purchase perks as rr mentioned.

I have some observations and a few questions.

I bought a couple of the HD LED fixtures a while back when they were $25 each. I thought these would fit under some 4' Utility shelving as work bench lights but they are too big for that. This is in my garage.

So I'm thinking about putting them on the ceiling. They say they are 3700 lumens. I Have 4 Double 4 foot T-12 fixtures in there now. 80w per fixture. This lights puts out seemingly more light than each double T-12. I was amazed. So now I am thinking of buying 2 more of the Home Depot LEDs to match the 2 I have. I always wanted to add 4 more fixtures. Then either replace the T-12's with the Feits or the HD LEDs.

Does anybody have any feedback about whether the Feit's or HD Leds are better?

But I am seeing that there may be retrofit bulbs for my T-12s? How well do these retrofits work compared to the FEITs?

Are some of the retrofits better than others?

I have a finished Garage with sheetrock ceiling. How are you guys mounting these to sheetrock? They seem pretty lightweight.

I got the Costco coupon book in the mail today and threw it away without noticing the Feit coupon in it. Had to dig it out of the trash!

I can't help with the rest of your question, but about the "coupon" Costco discontinued that a while ago. It's more like an advertisement flyer now, with all members automatically getting the discount regardless of whether or not you present the flyer at the checkout. ;)

Bought 3 of the Costco FEIT LEDs last night but will need to take the receipt back today to get back my $8 per strip. Not installed yet but plugged one in about blinded myself. Can't wait to start hanging. These are above the workbenchs but need more for general lighting. See pic for current lighting situatuon.

They still have a few actual coupons in there usually... it's just not for anything really crazy in the cost savings department. Right now, printer ink refills and canvas prints have coupons. Yay.

Eyeglasses as well though.

Just returned from a re-buy/return for price adjust on 17 of them. A cool $136 more in my pocket now, and had the BBQ brisket sandwich with coleslaw too. :beer2: Sweet deal, thanks for the heads up.

Just got back from picking up 10 of these in the Brighton, MI store. There were lots of people milling around them as I was loading my cart.
