Does anyone know the model number of this box? Are the dimensions correct? What is a fair price? I want to put this on top of a KRL 756 which is 35 5/8" wide and 24" deep. If I am reading the ad correctly I would need to pay 10% Premium plus 6% sales tax. Thanks, ****

I just noticed the vintage tool sub thread, if this needs to be moved, please do so.

KRA 550 was the friction slide version but not as deep as they show. Can't tell from the pictures what they have.

KR650, dimensions are close, it is only ~22" front to back. Yes it will fit on your 756. Mid to late 80's. The bottom drawers are ball bearing, top are friction. Heavily dependent on condition. If in good condition, needs only a cleaning, no parts. $300 wouldn't be crazy.

could also be a kr550b with all friction slides.

i'd buy it if i was looking for a top box of that size.

In the late 1980s they made a set with all ball bearing slides, but I can't remember the model.

sometime in the early-mid 80's the drawer trim was added, as well as the emblem change

in '86 the ball bearing slides were introduced, it was probably the kr650 that the Z man mentioned.

my set is the '85 models, last of the friction slide boxes. (the bottom drawer of the matching roller cab was BB slide)

Doubtful, if you look closely at the pics you can see the ball bearing slides and lack of dividers on the bottom drawers. Also I don't think they used that emblem on the friction slide only boxes. :headscrat ;)
