Welcome! Good to see another in SoCal. I'm sure you'll love it here like the rest of us - so many good resources and stuff to look at :)

As I'm sure others will mention, add a location to your profile as it can often help others with any questions you may have. And post some pics of your space :D

56: nice pictures and good to see you train well by eating donuts. KK used to be my favorite stop and i'd eat half that box driving 20 minutes home if they were hot.

no clue what your green beast has so i'll let others respond. i don't understand why the white truck in the rocks is defying gravity. is that under control with your skills or just a picture seconds before you crash?

1968 i was 12 and driving my dad's 63 bug around the neighborhood without him in the car. i'm pretty sure he put 3 engines in that car before my little sister wrecked it when she was in her 20's because she bought it from him. he paid a guy i think $250-300 total for new engine and labor and if i remember right it took that guy a day to swap them. never did like you had to leave the fly windows open in the winter to keep window from fogging up. cool car other than that.

haha, that's how you drive on JackHammer in Johnson Valley, mostly on your sheetmetal. i never put her on the roof, but on the sides many times.

DING DING!

Volvo TGB axles under that thing, found a set in Utah and spent the next year finding high speed 3rd members for them.

had to make the 8x6.5 8lug disc conversion myself since the Volvo 8lug wheels were impossible to find in the states.

could drive straight over a 5 gallon bucket and not touch it. :eyecrazy:

Nice orange on the bug. What color code?

that is CAL OSHA safety orange. was so bright in direct sunlight that it hurt your eyes to look at it. one of many VWs i put together & painted back then.
