I also got a pair of Knipex Cobras, one being the hose clamp pliers that I just had to get after seeing WoodstockVa's video

I had a Made in the USA day today.

I swung by Home Depot and picked up some Klein and Channellock goodies.

Not too bad for just shy of 70 bucks.

Does this count as a tool? Going to use it to haul atvs, pull the trailer, and haul tools around to work on the extended family's vehicles. I think it counts...[emoji3] [Edit: IDK how to turn the pic over. Sorry. ]

Got this set of SO flare nut crowfoot wrenches today. I was a little disappointed that they are laser etched instead of stapmed.... is this common with Snap On?

Not sure if I really needed 3 of these adjustable hex wrenches, but they were priced good and look like new. And with a block grinder in the garage now, I could not pass up a new in the box accessory

personally, i hate lazer etching,
for me it's hard to see, and does wear off in time with hard use.

in the automotive world you may never see a difference, but working on const eq is in a different world altogether...

Mac and Matco do as far as I've seen. I'm pretty glad that I can get them warrantied through my Mac guy.

wonder if they would accept knipex branded pliers

Matco wouldn't warranty a Knipex branded Knipex plier, even though Matco rebrands them. It needs to say thier name on it even though its the same.

I know this is off topic for the thread, but while we are on this; what is Knipex's warranty policy? Lifetime?

LOL, do you even take a paycheck home, or just hand it over to the tool truck?

Oh yeah, no toolbox payment so I'm really not spending that much a week and I get paid well too  The tool trucks can **** it as far as I'm concerned, I only buy from them if I can't find what I want on Ebay or I'm in a hurry.

Do you get better deals on the truck if you pay cash? Or does it depend on the mood of the driver?

Many others, however, not so much..

This is the first laser etched Snap On "wrench" I've ever noticed. I'm wondering if this is going to become the norm for SO tools?

It's different, but I kind of like it.

I think it makes the tool look cheap. :dunno:

I hate it too. That's why I mentioned that I was disappointed in my previous post. I had second thoughts this morning before buying them.

I think I saw these on here a few days ago so I had to have them. They would have gotten more use when I was in maintenance but I still had to have them.

The only truck I've ever had give me a discount for paying cash in full was Cornwell, Snapon and MAC didn't care. I will still buy new from them but only when I can't find a deal online. Ruger has inspired me to look more into the industrial brand tools, especially Proto since it's very similar to MAC's USA stuff

True. My new Sunex crowfoot sockets would be hard to see outdoors.

My Mac guys says they are lifetime warranty. But yea I don't think they'll warranty a non branded Knipex since its "not their tool".

Knipex's warranty is lifetime if I remember correctly.

I recently bought several new Sunex drive line sockets. I am very satisfied with the overall quality of the tools but the etching seems to be very fragile.

Like this one...
