it depends on what you need to do. For home most 12 volt tools are fine, 18 volt tools are better for a contractor.

I don't know about this item though, I saw it somewhere else and wanted to post just in case someone here needs it.

these are handy for basic and general home repairs or assembly. you're not going to like them if you plan to build a deck or fabricate a utility trailer.. that's where my 18v dewalts come into play.
I bought these to stay in the home and put into "her" tool kit. keep me from going to the barn in the winter/rain just because we're assembling a linen closet or such.

Thanks, I have an attached Gararge so it would probably just double up.

Says they have 2 at the Lowe's by work, $49. Tempted to swing by after work and grab one, but don't really need it. Wouldn't hesitate to buy if they weren't 12V. Hopefully, someone else local sees this and gets one or both before 5pm today.

i grabbed one for 33$, so they will go lower.
they are good drills, the saw is a little funky but i can see it being useful since i don't have a batter powered sawzaw. the impact has a lag of half a second after you pull the trigger but other than that they are good drills.

Cool. I was looking at these when they posted it in the Lowes thread. Was showing $136 and now they have it for $50.

Grabbed one from my store yesterday. Drill is okay, slow to get up to speed. Impact is awesome and the main reason I bought this kit. I personally don't care for the jig saw/sawsall. It's only one speed so that kind of kills it's jig saw function for me. It only accepts t shank blades which I've only used in jig saws, so I don't know if they come in a length long enough to lob off a 4x4 fence post.
