What is the street value on something like this in near mint (but still considered used) condition. I know what they sell for new (seems crazy to me). I can pick up a nice set from a friend of a friend. He wants $500 firm. I really don't need them but I'm thinking I can help him out with his money situation and make a couple bucks because I can sit on them for a little while if I have to. Just wouldn't think there's a huge market for something like this...

Here's a link to the same set.

500.00 is a deal if you need them, I was offered 2 different snap-on sets for 500.00 per set last year. I passed at both sets. If you knew a heavy equipment mech. you might be able to turn them and make some money on them, but I think you will be sitting on them a long time to make any money. My advise is to go to ebay sold sales and see what they are going for. I could be all washed up with my pricing. But as I said I passed up two different snap on sets last year...Rich good luck

I saw exactly one lightly used comparable on eBay sold for $1250.

Not sure if there's enough room in the market for two?

There's one other set for sale at $1100 plus shipping but that's about it.

I have enough 3/4" and 1" drive, and know what the good stuff costs.. I work on allot of "big stuff" and that Wright set would be a welcome upgrade for me.... For many members here; it would be a great conversation piece at best.. $500 is a terrific buy for someone who uses them; $750 to $1000 would be a bargain.... But you have to find someone who wants or needs them, and is willing to pay a fair price.

I wouldn't say so. 3/4 and 1" stuff goes for way under cost. Just not many people at all need them

I agree, unfortunately. I've never delved into 1" but I do have a 3/4" set that I paid the princely sum of $50 for. Other than a few of the smaller sized sockets I'll bet I'll never use it; I just purchased it on the principle of if someone's selling $20 bills for $10 you buy them, and if I use it once a year it's paid for itself.
