Well after trying and having a few different boxes not even gonna mention one box that i have had this is not a bash thread,
my search is over, never thought i would purchase a tool box without seeing it in person but after seeing all the reviews and talking with different tool box vendors i decided to go with extreme tools, and all i can say is i
am totally amazed of the QUALITY OF THIS BOX the quality of this german powder coat is amazing the detents on the drawers are solid and tight notice the pic of the drawer fronts which all construction of the fronts and bottom of drawers are 18 guage you can't see no weld marks at all i have over 40yrs of garage and jack of all trades go to it and do it kind of guy and have never seen or touched another tool box of this quality and THIS IS (MY OPINION) THATS ALL For $2,000 is what these boxes cost from any vendor that carrys them i am glad i got this box it will be a box one of my kids or grandkids will appreciate being left to them these are the only pics i have it is colder then heck here in Michigan right now all i can say if anyone on here is hesitant about purchasing any box from EXTREME TOOLS don't be you will not be unhappy with your puchase

My brother has the same box but in black. It's the best bang for your buck box ever built. I will join the extreme tools bandwagon as well this year but with the 72". I need that 30" deep drawer.

I don't know where the OP purchased his box, but strictly toolboxes carries extreme and has online prices.

Thanks, yup I found that as well...
Wish you could configure the box.... for me the HUGE bottom drawers are just wasted space or require me to double and triple stack stuff or store items in there I don't need to (cased tools)

It is a really nice box (can you say that to a man and not loose your man card?)

congrats on the future 72'' 30 deep you should call them and ask about the super duty with the 300lb drawer slides i did not have enough to get even the 55' x 30deep or i would have done they have a box now that exceeds all others
check them out

It'll be the more expensive one. It comes equipped with the 300lb drawer slides. I like the sound of 16 gauge shell and 18 gauge drawers. Should be on par with the truck boxes.

i was gonna drive down south to the factory and go right in and look at all of them in person and i am glad i didn't, because i know MYSELF all to well i would have probably ordered the one you want and i don't really need it and then i would have no money for my welder,
I know you won't be disappointed

I've seen these boxes online for several years and wondered what they looked like in person. Which is all kind of mental ************, since I really don't need any new boxes right now.

Glad to read your review and see you're happy with it! Enjoy all that space - it won't last!

I'm sorry!

Shoulda decided on the Miller 211 instead :D

i like it also but this box will do exactly what i need it to and the money i saved will go toward my new iron man 230 w/spoolgun :bounce:

now that just don't make any sense to buy MM 211 instead of the iron man 230 W/spool gun, i just sold my MM vintage which was 250amp and you could weld 1/2 inch steel with ease, why would i want to go backwards in amperage.

heres the drawer layout http://www.strictlytoolboxes.com/56-extreme-tool-boxes-21-drawer-tool-cabinet-top-chest.html and they did tell me if a slide went to heck they would replace it, plus they are sending me a matching lockset

Makes perfect sense to buy the mm 211 over the Hobart. Only reason not to is if you weld 1/2" steel regularly. The portability alone is worth it.

What are you building that needs more amperage? A fallout shelter?

Nice. That color is at least a 8.5 on the too cool factor.
Definitely looks tall - what is the height to the top of the upper? Just curious is all. I seem to be vertically challenged @ 5'10".

perfect sense is to buy the one you want, you buy the 211 so you can have a blue welder and i will buy the hobart 230 i don't want portability my welder is staying inside my shop the hobart has a 15ft whip 20ft spool gun and i don't have to drag my welder around getting to old for that, and if you want to argue about a welder start your own thread this thread has nothing to do with a welder its for a tool box, seriously start a thread on it don't keep this going on
