I wanted these but already had the Snap-On high performance wrench set, making one end redundant, so I just bought the mountain double box offset flex spline wrench set to make up the difference. Sure Mountain is 90 position instead of 120, but meh...

If you look verrrrrry closely at the pic on the cardboard packaging, it looks like they are spline. It's hard to see as it is black on black, but I think they are indeed spline.

3/8 drive and so far very pleased with its bit of use, almost small enough to get into all the places you need. I can see this being a go too tool.

The Stanley measure tape I've bought a few years ago when I didn't know much about tapes...and didn't know GJ even existed. :headscrat

Then GarageJournal came up, and I've slowly learnt what tools would be...and slowly but surely, I went to the dark side of the Force. :bounce:

Just received this little guy yesterday :thumbup:

Much wider than the Stanley (both are 5 meters long), both have a Category II accuracy.

Love this feature ! You can measure heights rather easily. Just make sure the curved side is facing the wall and...tadaaa....you can read vertically written metric measures ! Whoohoo !
Notice the beefy hook...

You can really go past the 5 meters limit without damaging anything:

Automatic locking mechanism and two buttons can activate the winding, pressed either with thumb or index. :thumbup:

Small and lightweight, but still 10 meters long - which covers most of my needs

And a Facom Universal Cutter. I've chosen the curved blades since it allows what you are cutting not to hit your hand.

110nm (85lb ft) according to the spec sheet. I have got a couple of proper air guns for any big jobs. I got this for all the smaller jobs that are just made easer with these lighter guns.

I've just received this Rothenberger Rocut 42TC pipe cutter yesterday.

First impressions are baaaaad.

• Flimsy (no joke, a major piece of ****) handles locking device. Click this link to see more images
• Awful blade play, I'm uploading a video to explain this.
• COO is officially Spain now
• Poor blade and handles finish (see below).
• Ratcheting system is a bit weird. You have to push the black plastic thing with your thumb (quite hard), then the blade jumps upwards. Funky squeeky noises and unpleasant frictions.

Sorry Rothenberger, I think you've just sent a new customer to Knipex now.

Most of the things he mentioned seem to be design/engineer problems rather than defects. If he returns it for replacement, it is likely that the replacement will have the same problems.

Hi Bobby and GetEr,

I've returned the Rothenberger cutter and got full refund. Will not order a new one to double check if they are any good. Will stick to Knipex now. :bowdown:

Too bad since I saw many tools from Rothenberger and they were very well made and designed...Seems that was several years ago...

I think he meant the ratchet in the picture. Its actually a 3/4" drive ratchet. Same ratchet I bought a few months ago during SK days. Have two now, one at work and at home. Never have too many I guess.
