Looking for a Hiem joint source

I looking for low cost source for heim joints (rod end). Nothing fancy. Not heavy duty. Probably 1/4"-3/8". I also need left hand thread.

I used to get basic Heim joints at Orchard Supply in Cali. They weren't aircraft grade for suspensions, but for throttle linkage etc they were fine. They had left hand threads besides right hand.

I get my taps from Traver Tool, good prices on both RH and LH thread taps

McMaster Carr does have some reasonably priced ones, but QS Components, who sells on eBay, has them beat with free shipping on orders over $6.

midwestcontrols customer service *****. I tried to order from them. Never got any kind of confirmation. I finally called them after 3 days. I was in a rush. I had less than 2 weeks to get a panhard bar built, installed, and my Samurai inspected so I could drive it to an event. Turns out they didn't have the size I needed in stock and wouldn't for a "couple of weeks". Never bothered to contact me to tell me it was "on back order" and they charged my card. I ended up ordering FKs from an offroad site and had them 4 days later.

I am happy with the FKs. They have been great, and no sizes of wear for the past 4 years.

Grainger also has them......Ace hardware......local bearing stores, lot of places so you don't have to order online and wait. Some places call them rod ends.....

The Igus stuff is pretty nice! I got some sample composite rod ends from them through work.

As others have mentioned, check Mcmaster Carr.

I needed new tie rods for my Kubota, $344 a piece from Kubota. I cut the old ends off, welded some 5/8 tie rod ends from McMaster on, and $30 later I have a functional tractor again!

The McMaster ones were good quality and reasonably priced.

Nevermind, OP is looking for light duty hardware store type heims. Not heavy duty like ruffstuff would have. He said 1/4 or 3/8 inch. Tiny stuff

I get mine at the Pate swap meet for $1 each. Buy enough to last til next years swap meet
