Cheapo HDX screwdriver set I think I picked up for $10. The whole set had 50+ pieces from Home Depot. Theyll get put into the truck tool box once I upgrade to a quality set.

How's the plantinum wrenches?

I like them, they get used often. The offset is a great feature that helps out in a lot of situations. I've put a lot of torque on these and haven't had any trouble. I tend to grab them more often than my gearwrenchs because of the reverse feature.

I am not sure how often I will use mine, but there have been a few times when I couldn't get even a single click on my other ratchets. I figure for $10 bucks it will pay for itself the first time I use it.

Can you give me a heads up on where to buy them at that price? Site Link?

I'd really like to add them to my collection.

Jason

Funny thing... I got mine on eBay from the same seller everyone else has been posting. But he doesn't have the three piece set listed anymore. Only this 2 piece set:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PROTO-SET-O...005&rk=1&rkt=6&mehot=pp&sd=161331807103&rt=nc

Maybe I got the last 3 piece set?

Edit: went and looked in my purchase history at the ended item , it shows "0 available, 139 sold"

Ordered mine today. I bit the bullet and got the long reach side cutters too. (The three piece $60 set)

HAha. You DID get the last set. I also bit the bullet and ordered the three piece set. I've watched that set for over a year and never took the plunge, but 4 days ago he only had 4 sets left. I knew if I wanted it at that price now was the time.

I just got mine in yesterday after I got off work. 30 seconds after messing with them I was back on e-bay to try and snag one of the remaining three sets. As soon as I checked though I noticed he was out!

Glad you got the last one! I think I'll be ordering six of the 2-piece sets this year. They'll make great gifts for my FIL, BIL, Brother, and three kids (can't start them too young!).

That's crazy! I've been watching them for two weeks and I was sitting around yesterday since there's nt much to do because of the ice, and thought what the heck. I didn't even look at how many were left!

Yessir, happy to help man. Looks like I'll have to post that part number in the "Tool Truck Equivalents" thread huh? Maybe others here can keep their eyes out for that cutter then!

GJ and mainly this thread have been fueling my collection (addiction, whatever) for the past year and a half. I have allocated a tool budget* for 2015 as well as compiled a list** of needs/wants. Sooo... Yeah. This site and everyone involved is an enabler.

Must....resist.....must....think of other members.....who need these more.....

Serious temptation there, but I doubt I'd ever wear out the Proto cutters from the set I bought. Have at it gents!

Everybody has been collecting quite a bit of new stuff. Congratulations! I just received this little order from Epsteins this week. A little Wilde (chisels, pliers), a little Bonney (2 pc long wrenches), some cabinet screwdrivers (craftsman, SK), some Wright (rail and studs), some staples and some floor mops. Great box art too!

Went to Menards today for some Wilde punches and chisels and a Hansen socket tray. Then drove across the street to Home Depot for some Estwing goodness.
