best 1/2" impact gun under 200 new?

First 1/2 inch wrench I bought. Menards special. Now your lucky to get 200 lb/foot out of there cheap Coleman wrenches. This one claimed 450 and I believe it. I bought it around 8 years ago and don't really use it because I always use the 1200 nitrocat. I paid around $50 for it. Not sure where you could still buy one but I guarantee it will be under $100. Powermate model p024-0099sp. Don't over pay on an impact wrench. It's like snap on tools. Nine times out of ten you are over paying for a tool. Most people still think they are in high school and name brand matters. What works and gets the job done is what matters.

HD had that husky for 75 bucks so I bought it. It was a return with no box or paperwork. I'll try it on my 1 tin lugs and see what it will do. If it doesn't pass, I'll return it and buy the aircat.

It's a good score, I'm not a huge fan of Husky tools but that impact gun really does have a lot of power and is also lightweight. I actually think the 800ft lbs is accurate.

I had an old school pro grade Craftsman impact that was massive and it had nowhere near the power.

I usually put the Husky on the medium setting as it almost zips the bolts off too fast and you can fling bolts around on the highest setting. I've never had that issue with other guns I owned, it seemed I always need to put it on the maximum setting for almost everything.

$75 is a no brainer and easy to take back if there's an issue.

I'm not a fan of husky since they went overseas in the 90's. The way I'm seeing it is that this isn't a husky gun but a rebadged tool good enough that a truck brand put their name on it. BTW, is it me or does this gun look like the earthquake in composite skin?

I've had really good luck with this Husky impact gun from Home Depot, around $100. It's rated at 800 ft/lbs, it seems to have no problem with everything I've thrown at it

If you hook up a inline air gauge you would drop pretty low, l am guessing 30 psi. At my shop we have it set at 120 psi and my IR2135 would drop a tad bit lower than 90 psi when free spinning.

It's definitely your compressor. I am in the same boat. Would love to by an 80 gallon two phase compressor. Could do real sand blasting with that. To bad most are around $1500. Bust out the credit card I suppose. Also, try using as short a hose as possible. Don't use a 100 footer.

The H4480 Husky. Should be a real good impact. It's cheap too. Look up the Mac AWQP120 and the Sunex SX4345, it's the same wrench.

If the husky doesn't work out, I might just go with this. I thought about it and don't want to spend all my play money on tools. I have to keep reminding myself that tools are just a means to an end.
