Picked up an IR 2145 Qimax today. I've had an eye on it for like 2 years now. So finally pulled the trigger. It's going to see a lot of use. I've been needing a 3/4" impact for awhile. Just couldn't bring myself to spend the money.

I sure will. I'm just looking for something to use it on now haha. I've got a bunch of light engine work in right now. So won't be using it today. But I'm very impressed with how light it is compared to the monsters I've been borrowing. And it's rated for more torque. That and the fact that my box is full of IR products that I'm very pleased with performance wise I'm anticipating this to work like a dream

Here's what I picked up over the weekend between Lowes and Home Depot. Rather odd mix.. but a deal is a deal.

And the HD manager handed me this tool, because the crew mishandled the signage and the advertised price was what I call, ideal. (Not being a jack weas, I only wanted one; not ten.)

Lifetime warranty?

To be honest im not sure. i already put it in the toolbox in the garage so ill check in a few. The amazon ad didnt say but did say parts were available so i would think probably not. The matco one only says the return policy on its ad so id have to ask the driver next time i see him but i wouldnt think it would be either but i could be wrong

Bringing my mg725 and my 13 year old ingersoll 3/8 gun home, replacing with Ingersoll 2235 and 2115. They were delivered at 3, I used them to remove and disassemble a Mountaineer rear diff and didn't get a picture til 5 so they already have some grease and battle scars on them.

Please let us know how well it works - especially on painted finishes.

Thanks,

Tawn

It worked pretty well on the inside of my wheels but I would be nervous putting it to the side of my m3. I'd give it a go on the jeep of necessary.

Swung by Sears outlet. Good ole merican made, except for the clamp set I bought for my son. But $75 for everything, not too bad.

Those are good guns, had one at the fleet I used to work for. The Proto gun I have now is stronger but the IR had a better trigger by far.

Yeah I've been back and forth on this one and the Mac. I'm assuming the Mac that I was looking at is probably the same as your Proto possibly? It had more torque and all that jazz, and I've been steadily becoming a Mac convert.

But my box is still full of IR and this one was part of a leftover promotion our independent tool man had that has the bag and a set of sockets. He hasn't brought the sockets or bag yet. He thinks they're at his house so it was an added bonus. So I pulled the trigger. Everyone in the shop was like its about time. Since I've been borrowing everyone else's for 3 years haha
