I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but I like to point a heat gun at the work area to heat my hands up. It also helps out preventing brittle plastic from breaking, and keeps hoses flexible etc...
It really makes a huge difference.

thats a good idea i can say i have come in from snow blowing and my hands froze and got the hair dryer out to warm my hands up

On average, it is costing me about $140 about every 5 to 6 weeks to keep the shop 60° all the time. The shop has a LP house furnace and its own 120 gallon tank. Boy it is nice to walk in and everything is warm. It rough thou, few times I've had a chill and cranked it to 70°. GF ******* its warmer in the shop then the house. I want to put a wood stove in for next year to compliment the gas heat. Use the gas heat to keep the shop warm when I'm gone. Use the wood stove to get it hot when I'm there. I also want the stove as an incinerator for used oil and anything else that burns. My only problem is the shop has filled in nicely with stuff organized the way I like. By the time I figure in the spacing requirements of a cast iron stove, I really don't have room anymore.

-22F yesterday. 0F in the garage when I started all brakes on a Grand Cherokee....my tube heater got it to a balmy 20F by the time I was done. Love the cold.....

My uncle lives out there, gotta love when they say "it was cold today" and it was about 65* lol
If it was 65* here i would have my harley out riding it, as long as all the salt was washed off the Rds.

Today it was 9 degrees Celcius here in Southern Europe. Imagine a place where the is no insulation on homes and no central heating. The only thing between you and the windy outdoors is a limestone wall. At least when I was living in Toronto it was warm inside and I wore shorts indoors in the winter, here I just stay in bed under the covers
Where are you in Southern Europe? Sounds like when I went to Mexico. Warmed up during the day, but I had to pile on the blankets at night.

It was -11° C in the back room (about 12' x 12') of my garage at 7:00pm this evening. I put on my 2 1500 watt radiant heaters, went back about an hour and a half later. It was up to +2° C. I worked in there for about an hour, it was up to 5° C when I finished. This is with no insulation.

I'm sorry but I just couldn't handle those cold temps some of you are experiencing. It was 76 degrees for a high here today but I thought it was pretty darn cold this morning.

Hang in there!! March starts this weekend, and it will start warming up soon. In a few months we will be complaining about how hot it is.
After the last few months I have decided to put a vented infrared tube heater in my shop. Hopefully before next winter!!

I love my Procom! Takes up little space under the window and keeps the garage comfortable.
No paint can to move, no worries about freezing stuff, cracking rubber or plastics...and NG prices are really cheap because I got into a village group buy at a low fixed price.
...a constant 55-58F temp and I can work out there at leasure.
30 minute crank up time leaves me in a T-shirt.
I love my heated garage!

WOW, today its 7 degrees here in Muskegon, MI. and the forecaster says this it is the last coldest day till next year.
this has been a tough winter on a lot of people all over the U.S. that hardly ever get winter i am ready for spring thats for sure
