I bought a bunch individually back when Amazon had crazy-good prices on PB Swiss tools.

Would I have bought a set back then at full price? Nope. Would I buy them now at full price? Yes, they're that good. I use them on everything from robotics projects, to assembly projects, to photography equipment.

Anyone else a fan of these or another brand's stubbies?

Never really needed them. I have hit a few with the chop saw when I needed something specific. Most of the time I would want the short end to be a bit longer.

I've had a couple of set of those with the Bondus brand on them for years. When needed they were the tool to have. The machines I worked on were 90% socket head screws. At one time I counted 17 different sets of tools for turning socket heads in my tool box.

Kinda like that design and without having modify existing tools by cutting.

These are also angled slightly. Harder to modify existing hex keys in such a manner.

I know I could cut full-size hex keys to become stubbies, but if I come across a spot where I need stubby, I usually can't just immediately whip out a grinder or cut-off tool and go to town.

I've got ones that ended up that way. The tip wears out, you cut it down. After a few times, you have a stubby hex key!
