Good. That means you are making use of it and that you did not waste your time and money buying it, fixing it up and then letting it sit

Very nice job on it for sure. And I like the blue. I'm tired of gray's or greens.

I missed out on a very nice round ram BP a couple of years ago. The paint was terrible, but it must have had very low hours on it or it was rebuilt, because it was one of the quietest and tightest older used mills I have seen, especially a round ram. The guy wanted $1300, and I could have got it for $1000, but he sold it by the time I called him back. I didn't need it, but was going to buy it , paint it, and flip it.A good paint job would have easily brought $2000+ out of it.

Your's looks great. How tall is the riser on it? And do you find any problem keeping it in tram being that it is a round ram? I've heard that they can go out of tram quite easily. I've never had the opportunity to run one. I've always ran dovetailed ram mills.

tram isnt to bad once u learn how much it moves when u crank bolts tight.\

ive never knocked it out of tram .
it would bust end mill before that happens

You Sir.....have skills, and dedication and more than a little case of OCD.

We like your kind around here!

Exquisite!

And I like the VFD and custom electrical boxes. I see you have a brake, and probably a shear. Both are on my list, along with a surface grinder.

What are your sources for switches and emergency stop etc.?

Whenever you get to WallyWorld, Ace Hardware, or someplace like that, pick up a couple of the childproof small covers that goes into the slots of outlets that prevents kids from sticking things in them, and pop them into your outlet to the left of the mill. That will keep any stray small chips from possibly getting into the slots.

Any recent pictures of it's current state? Haha.

Looks very good! Do you have drawings or information on that power draw bar you're using? Looks quite intriguing! I'm working on a round ram myself and I'm just in the reassemble stage (not doing paint, needs way to much body work for anything to stick) and would like to do that aswell!

i made the power draw bar on the fly so to speak .

the controls are just valves with a bleeder port to allow the spring loaded cylinder to return once u let off the button .
also controls how much air bleeds out of other end of cylinder so it doesnt slam into draw bar to hard .
also uses a 12point socket so it has a easier time sliding over draw bar.
its pinned to impact wrench with roll pin.
its all automatic , works nice and its quick to cycle tools .

Could certainly build another for a good price. if anyone wants one .

*i will load all the new pics tonight of the covel grinder the bridgy and a belt
sander im building.
