lets see some homemade DIY wrench racks....

Here's an idea I swiped off the internet a while back, and decided to use it until I can get my wrenches back on my pegboard. Might not be the best solution, but it only takes up a minimum amount of room. (I'm limiting myself to a Craftsman "top" box for right now, due to space constraints.)
Stiff wire, wrapped around a 1" dowel. Works for pliers and other tools too.

I'm confused about the avatar comment??
Anyways lovin the dually!
Would like to see more pics of it
As for the wrench racks. I feel they are cheap enough it doesn't make sense to make them. Just me tho....and I love to fabricate stuff. I made my own socket tray because I felt I could build a better and more space efficient tray for way less than what is out there.
I don't feel I could do that tho for wrench racks

Started off with a piece of 1/4" aluminum plate I cut down. Took some standard socket rails I cut down and drilled holes through and into the plate for rivets

Used a nickle finish cabinet handle from lowes and drilled the plate out on the backside to countersink the handle screws

Painted it and voila! I'll post a pic of it in my drawer with sockets on it.

Getting back on topic, I keep my wrenches loose 'cause I have a shallow drawer and I can't get them to stand up while for sockets, I basically took a piece of thin steel plate that's used in wood construction, put some holes in it and 6mm screws for the 1/4 stuff, 10mm for the 3/8s and 12mm for the half inch. Will post pictures later.

This is what I came up with. You can make it out of scraps and about $2.00 of dowels.
Enjoy the video.
Here's the socket tray. I put all my sockets that can't really go on socket pegs on here

That's actually the same exact one I went with as an idea......
I'll post what I came up with later when I get home
Thanks. I realized after about five minutes that if I had angled my drill press platform, I wouldn't have needed the magnets. If the wrench holders angle down, the wrenches would just nest down in the hole. Does that make sense?
