I had a hydraulic hoist installed last year (in my new garage install ) and it was I think a bit of a disaster - the install guys manged to get hydraulic fluid all over the floor and up some walls, and also managed to connect up the hydraulics so wrong that it damaged a fitting on the hoist which had to be welded. I was totally pissed about it but at the end of the day kinda let it pass by but am still considering whether to escalate things. Now a mate of mine recently had exactly the same thing happen ( I need to check if it is the same company )
my question is this : is it usual to spray a quart or so of hydraulic fluid ( it then looks like a gallon LOL) all over the place with a hoist install ? I would think actually damaging the hoist is pure negligence but really dunno, I would think the answer is "no not usual and yes negligence" but this is not my area of expertise. What do you guys think ?
