Was going to pull the trigger with slide lok, and after not hearing back from the dealer, been having second thoughts.

Anyone in So Cal have a good idea of what I should use?

I know everyone has an opinion on cabinets.

Mine is: Best quality, widest line = Lista. Nice design, lots of color options = Baldhead. THen way back are the Mill's Pride kind of thing which are cheap, available right now at Lowes & Home Depot but of comparitively low quality.

My main bench is made from a Craftsman ball-bearing rollaway and service cart, both with the casters removed, with a 3/4" top covered with butcher-block Formica; nice and solid, plenty of tool storage. :)

I used Mill's Pride from Home Depot and was very pleased with the quality.

Looks great Roger, but... white?

10 minutes in my garage and they'd look like preschool fingerpainting gone wild... I just have to think about working in my shop and my hands will start sweating black moly grease...

Count me in. I like to set stuff on fire, another reason I like steel for everything possible. My workbench has been set on fire 6 times in the last 2 years.:wtf:

I bought cabinets from Grizzly Products, www.grizzly.com, yes, they are white, but I got the idea from the auto mechanic i use for my cars. He has the bench in white and then covered the top w/ stainless. Quite bullet proof. I'll have the 4 door cabinets over 3 of my work benches, one of which is a ******** and very ugly metal bench. Actually my favorite.:) Can hoist up a transmission on to her and wrench away.
