I was really happy to find this cabinet on a local classifieds...for $175! Its about 28x28x54 with 24x24 drawers(2" and 5" depth) and in pretty great shape. It just needed a little clean up and I oiled up the bearings and is good as new (to me). Best of all, its green!

I consider it a very worthwhile upgrade from my Craftsman ball bearing set up, it was great but is really full. I'll move the tools to the new cabinet and sell the Craftsman, probably for more than I paid for the Lista:)

Thanks everyone, I feel pretty lucky to have found the ad in time to call on it. Im surprised, it was up for over a day and still available.

I really like that the drawers are so deep and that there are a lot of ways to section each drawer off.

I'd keep the Craftsman box because you'll run out of space again, and until you find another Lista, you'd be back to square one.

This is one of those right place at the right time kind of things. I've gotten a deal or two from Craigslist by seeing an ad just after it was posted and calling right away.

I've pretty much given up on finding a deal on Lista as they come up for sale pretty rarely and they are all more than I want to pay. The cheap ones are all rusted or beat to heck.

Great deal.

I had two short ones in that color. Both were damaged, so I combined them. But I paid more for damaged ones than you did for a solid one.

This one is slightly taller and went for $1300 at a recent auction. Nice score on that one!

OP . . . . . that is major score of a lifetime . . . . bravo !!

Indeed . . . . most worthy of . . . . YOU **** !!!

Since you're in Utah, keep your eyes watching the GovLiquidation site as military base up there seems to have loads and loads of Lista's.

/ Lista Lust :D

P.S. Here's a 11 drawer Vidmar on the GovLiquidation site (in Beaufort, SC) . . . . bidding starts at $25 . . but it comes as package deal with 20 ft x 8 ft aluminum storage container !!!

Thanks Jack, before I cleaned up my cabinet I really contemplated painting it like a Craftsman box. Then I remembered that you had done that and didn't want to copy ya :) Now that its cleaned up, I really like the green and slight patina. So I'm gonna keep the green for now. I really like how yours turned out!

Wow that makes my deal feel pretty good! I never really thought I would even own one of these cabinets, but at a price cheaper than a Craftsman bottom cabinet I couldn't resist!

Jesse, you ****, but not for long. Jack is on the way over to load that cabinet onto the whale tail of his Porsche and take it back to Cali with him. No one is allowed to use hospital green but him.

Sorry, them's the rules.

Nice pick up there! You are going to love the added depth of the drawers. I went from a ball bearing craftsman set up to a KRL box and wonder how i got by without it before that. I had the 40" setup with a full size middle drawer and top box that were completely filled. All fit into the new box with a little room to spare.

For those in the central TX area there is an ad on Craigslist for someone that has a few of them for sale (vidmar, lista) for $400 each.

+1!! Keep the Cman. You'll outgrow the new Lista soon enough!
