Have the same set, but mine are all six point and had no box. Bought this collection all new in 1954 for about $15.

Wow really nice find, dream of finding some NOS tools like that over here.

Interesting that the smaller sizes are 6 point, guess they didn't make them in 12 point versions at that time (or just used what was in their inventory when the set was made)

The box logo looks 30's to me, and I didn't think they did forged universal sockets back that far. I thought they were more of a 70's invention.

I think that in the 30's the SK logo was the yellow, painted on type.

Yeah the logo is different, and I don't think metric was common until the 60s or 70s even though metric tools probably existed in the 50s. Sorry, I looked at the socket p/n and saw they are SAE.
