Making very good use of the workshop. Guzzi project largely complete now. Will be ongoing improvements and upgrades. Runs really well and is great fun to ride.

Very nice guzzi. An aluminum seat pan would be the only thing I would change. Well, spokes would look good but what you have is probably more practical. It's one of the nicest I've seen, very well done !

Thanks very much 1/2 cup and Crab!

There is still a fair bit to do really. The seat is still unfinished gelcoat. I also want to replace the instruments with something more minimalistic. Also have a small fairing I want to experiment with. Then there are modest upgrades to suspension and engine to investigate, although I intend to pay homage to the era of the bike and maintain the current look. No modern-looking components.

The sound is best heard with headphones.

What an incredible garage build. Built for the ages. Thanks for sharing.

Great build! It fits in your yard well. A horse poking his head out the window would excite the neighbors walking by.
What about rust transferring from your wrench to the limestone.:dunno:

What a stunning space. The floor colouring seems to have worked out okay. Any long term plans on that front?

Thanks. Yeh, the floor colour is fine. It makes it easier to see better, the downside being it shows up mess and marks more than a dark floor. Biggest disappointment with this floor coating has been that I've discovered it is not very resistant to petrol and if it comes into contact for any length of time it starts to dissolve. I just kind of assumed any garage floor coating would be petrol resistant, but obviously not. I had one such incident and repaired the damage by re-coating in the same stuff. I will live with it for now.

Thanks. Yeh, actually I was hoping at first glance it could be mistaken for the original carriage house.

Thanks for reminding me. I'm going to lacquer the wrench and horseshoe.

I have a friend who'd love that, he's just finished rebuilding his Moto Guzzi LeMans onto a new frameafter it had a fire. He also has a collection of various italian bikes, benellis, MG and I think an MV Agusta plus the old 1970's MZ he's had since he was a kid, I'm a bit hazy on bikes but I know one of the Benellis I think is a two stroke tuned up for racing and a real screamer.(think its a 125cc)

Sorry if it's already mentioned but where & How much was your bike stand / front wheel thingy. Im exploring options at the moment for making my street triple easier to work on at home, would love a bike lift one day but for now ill settle for something easy to use solo. Thanks

Here is a similar one for the same price I paid.

These things are so good I bought two. I use one on my lift instead of the cumbersome wheel clamp that came with it. The other one I use for parking one of my other bikes. It allows you to park the bike vertical rather than leaned over, saving room. Also great for use on a trailer too.

Been quite a while since I've done an update. Workshop has kept me pretty busy. I bought another project bike in late August. Turned this:

into this:

This is done as an urban scrambler for now. It's quite a hoot to ride, but may eventually go on to make this into a cafe racer also.

The Guzzi has been given a bikini fairing, new Motogadget tacho/speedo, new brake discs & pads, new shocks, polished rocker covers and some paint.

Workshop is working really well but of course as everyone knows a workshop is never anywhere near big enough.

Good to have you back and posting again. Looks like you are enjoying your garage. No matter how nice they are when we build them their of no real value unless we put them to work. Indian head on the wall is classy.
