Pulled this **** off the ceiling of the single bay. Getting ready to frame in the new attic ladder and get some OSB up on the ceiling.

Tinkered around with my Father-in-law's lawn mower that he gave me. Got called for a problem at work and my buddy finished working on the mower then mowed my grass. Job well done!

hands on hips: just stared into it. Cant figure out where to put the rest of the "stuff" after a thorough cleaning. I got rid of a lot of "stuff". Trash, donating and the garage sale pile, yet have ZERO room to put the things I "think" I need in there.

Pulled the blades off the mower and sharpened them, then the damn thing quit on me turned out to be just a wire off one of the many safety switches, pulled off when I mowed close to a hedge.

Got home from work early, first day in the week. Took the old non-used alarm system wires out of my car and deinstalled the aftermarket catalytic converter. New exhaust system without cat converter going in tomorrow...then a final tuneup of the carb and it should be ready to go.

Pulled out the rubber berms, washed off all the salt / road chemicals, folded them up and put them on a pallet for the summer.

Rotated the tires on the Mustang, didn't get around to it yesterday.

Was headed to tape some more drywall in the shop. Found my Stihl hard hat/face guard/ear muffs on the shelf while digging for a new roll of tape and decided I'd have more fun grinding stumps with the Dingo. Noise and chips and exhaust! Oh my!

Went to go measure for a new exhaust on the old truck and then wanted to see if I could fit my dads mustang under the lift with it on dollys. Sure enough, easy to move and get in there.
Of course with the garage door open, the neighbour came over for a chat.

two days ago I stalled "out of gas" 2X on the way to work, but it ran when pumped, so something in the carb float bowl.. Took carb top off when I got home and yes, I removed half a dozen "floaters"... (Probably part there and more from changing the fuel lines last weekend...)

It runs great now!

painted the lower frames of the cabinets I'm putting in the garage

trying to figure out what the material is that was on the top of the cabinets setting next to the red roll cart so I can drill holes in it to secure a wood top

also trying to find out where to buy stainless steel sheets to cover the wood top that is going on top of the black stuff

I'm in Toms River New Jersey in case anyone knows a place to find stainless top

Made an adaptor for my Honda ride-on mower soI can have a standard towball mounted AND still use things like my roller which has a simple pin hitch. Just a length of 10mm thick mild steel flat bar cut to size with two 20mm holes drilled in it , the first takes the towball which also goes through the bracket on the tractor and then the rest sticks out past the ball so I can use the second hole with the pin through it. I often drag my little utility trailer around the garden with tools or hedge cuttings etc in it so need the ball for that. It's since had a coat of rattle can etch primer and will get a few coats of black tomorrow. I think the 20mm drill bit was a bit much for my little bench drill press even though I'd drilled it in stages going up a few sizes at a time. Ah well, an excuse to buy a decent floorstander!

Replaced the windshield cowl, fresh air filter, engine air filter, and oil pressure sensor in my 2002 BMW 330xi. Next week I will replace the clutch and rebuild the shift pins in the transmission. Nice day in Virginia at 74 degrees and sunny! Yay!

I decided today after work since I had run ethernet to the garage that I should build a PC to go out there. No big deal - I've gots lots of parts laying around.
Only problem is that I'm not real good about getting rid of stuff. I've replaced various components over the years and I haven't marked the good stuff versus the suspicious stuff.
End result - PC powers up and displays a FF code on the MB but won't make it to the monitor.

All my good stuff went to the kids PC when I tore mine down. I wonder how disappointed they will be when they lose their PC

Since I had a hoist installed Monday, figured I might as well put it to use. Last night I put the summer tires on my wife's 2014 Equinox and figured it went so good, that I put my 2014 Silverado up there. I had a set of brand new Supersprings purchased for my previous truck and never installed. They also fit my 2014, so on they went to.

Not my garage but the house garage, finished some trim painting and moved things back where they belong. The neighbor brought over his drywall lift for me to borrow to hang some metal on the ceiling.

I spent 4 hours getting a broken bolt out on a intake manifold, every thing went wrong, it was tight , so I lubed it up and let it sit, then I thought I would use my air hammer to help loosen it up it felt good and then broke, ok fine so I weld a new nut on it, going , going and broke again, ok fine so I drill a hole and start to tape it out feel it getting harder stop put some heat to it and lube it again, it brakes, so I have these cool new drill bites like hole saw I drill over the broken bit and the hammer a socket on it and pull the bolt out, that was a long day

The first really nice day of the day of the year so I wanted to change the oil in both push mowers and the lawn tractor before giving the grass it's initial cut.

With the drain plug under the deck and my dislike for getting down on the ground in these my "golden years" it seemed to make sense. My son laughs about it, but then he's 23. I find myself always thinking of ways to do most any job while standing. It's not so much the getting down on the ground, but the getting back up that *****!
