$46 for me

I'm not sure this is what you did, but for these "local ad" deals you can't just go to sears.com and search the item. You have to go to local.sears.com and select your store. Then you can search for a specific item or go under store deals --> tools.

These aren't on sale at any of the stores local to me, but I did run across a couple of other good deals. I check every couple weeks. I still haven't been able to figure out exactly how often they roll out new local deals.

If you can snag these, they are very nice pry bars. They're made by Mayhew and have striking caps on them. Very very good quality pry bars.

I found a set for 22.21 at my store as well, but I do not believe these are the Mayhew bars that Karvac mentioned, these are item # 00943278000. They do not have the striking caps on them like the pro series, but this is a good deal just the same.

I just placed my order and used my 10 off 20 code. I chose one of the other malls in my area. Total is 15.25. I'll keep you guys posted. They were advertised as the professional set. Either way stoked.

Those are made by Wilde, and have gone on sale as low as $16 (but more often for $20). They are pretty good pry bars.

Same boat for me as well.

EDIT: I will say I got the regular ones for sale a couple years back at $19.99 and then added the 36 in one separately and they have all held up to some hard use. Im not a pro though so they dont get daily use, but for wat I paid for them, they have been amazing

You can also try sears.com/localad. That's the old site before they changed over to the new format. The old site allows you to search by % off. The old site lets you select 25-50% off, whereas the new site only lets you search 50-75% off. You'll want to look for the deals where the price ends with a 4, i.e. $**.X4. Those are the true "local deals" that often don't go on sale but are 20-75% off.

They bring out new deals every month or two, and they usually last for multiple weeks. I used to work at Sears, and even then I couldn't figure out their method of this. All I knew was that every month or so we would get a ton of price stickers for unusual items that all ended with the 4.

Keep in mind that just because one Sears close to you doesn't have the deal, that doesn't mean that another Sears close by will not have the deal also.

So if you see a Sears Local Ad deal posted that you want, check each individual Sears Local Ad.

I just returned from picking up my set. Thanks OP.

i got this deal in my sears too.. sale prices are NEVER fully dispalyed.. my store had the regular price displayed, and i just took it, and walked up for a price check.. for $25 they were coming home with me, if i use them or not..

i also picked up the 10 peice sets of the dewalt reversible ratcheting wrenches for $39 - that are normally $99.. at $4 a wrench - for reversible, ratcheting, offset wrenches that dont skip any sizes, those also came home with me..

thanks for posting this - i wouldnt have ever bothered with craftsman pry bars if i didnt remember reading this the other night.

I'll also add that YMMV if trying to get a price match. I've been fairly unsuccessful in my own attempts, but it's always worth trying!
