Oh man you're fast! I deleted my previous message because I thought it was too snarky, but you caught me with a quote during the few seconds it was posted.

Well at least my heart was in the right place.

Is this stupid "Wanda Snap-On" thread ever gonna die?

It is Snap-on that has taken the death pill, now it is just a matter of time. Sorry Merk, I know you really loved SO, now they too, will be the mail order bride or tools.:(

Fedwrench you are right on the Berry Amendment but I included "contractors" because if they are buying for themselves as opposed to buying for the US gov't ie contract purchases ,they can buy any brand or country of origin tools .It is these folks that still ask for US made tools. This is not my opinion ,it's what we sell to them every week.
Case in point ,a couple of weeks ago quote for a pipe wrench.I quote a global made MIT brand to save $ but they wanted a Ridgid.I didn't argue, just sold them the Ridgid.

Do you sell to internaal costomers? Do they also only ask for USA made too?

It seem like Snap On is buying up a lot of foreign tool makers all over the world. Did you know that they also bought the Mexican tool maker Urrea. They also recently bought Sandvik. Do Snap On still make Kobalt tools? They also bought several European brands.
