Thoughts on this Makita drill/impact set?

I need a new cordless drill since my 30 year old Makita finally gave up the ghost. I had been looking for a good used deal for a while and came across a guy who will sell me the set pictured with a bag and charger for $100. I figure this is probably a decent deal since in my browsing I haven't come across even the drill for less than $120. Looking online there are green and white cased versions. The green seem to be substantially more money. Are they in a different class, or are they newer? Anyone who own/use these have an opinion on them? I'd like the drill to be able to drive deck screws and the impact to work on some light to medium duty automotive jobs.

The model numbers are LXFD01 (drill) and LXDT04 (impact).

I have those two units shown in the photo. Like the ones shown, I have the smaller batteries. I've been very happy with mine. The impact driver is amazing at driving screws and lag bolts. Can't comment on the green vs. white difference.

$100 with the sawzall? I would jump on that, I have the newer brushless models{not sure if them are brushless or not} and I have that sawzall, I would give that guy 100 and pay shipping just to have extras...

Figure it this way, the 2 batteries, charger, and sawzall are worth that, so if the drills last a year you scored...

Drill and Driver will both last fine. The thing to check is the battery condition. If both batteries are good then it would be a decent deal. The seller might have just charged 'em up to show you real quick, so be aware.

Green is full size and white is compact version.

The sawzall is not included for$100. He wants an additional $50 for that. I don't really need one. I like my Milwaukee for that.

Makitas are excellent. Those white ones arent the high end blue ones and have smaller batteries and slower chargers, which doesnt mean much. But they are a;lso brushed. I had a set of them and they worked great until I gave them to my brother. I use the blues mainly, but I'd jump on that deal fast.

I have both sets, the green and the black and white set. There is no difference between the two other than the battery size. As far as the set that is pictured they are not worth the 100.00 he is asking for them. you can get that set for 200 new and can always find them on sale for less. Also, you can go to AdvanceAuto.com and buy the set and use promo code TrT41 or Trt40 and get a new set for 150 or less.

If buying new, spend the extra $30 to get the green ones with big batteries. Amazon warehouse usually has some good deals.
