I picked up a couple of mystery tools today. They are Stahlwille, marked 12617 with a "10" below the part number, and another marked 12617 with an "8" below that.
I first thought they were spark plug sockets, so I almost threw them aside. They look exactly like a normal spark plug socket, but inside the tool where you would insert the spark plug there are 3 rollers. There is a plate in the end with a hole in it, and the plate is held in with a snap ring.
I did a google search, but got nothing.
To me these look like some sort of stud remover, the 8 + 10 indicating that they are used for 8 or 10mm studs.
Pics to follow when I get home, for now just use your imagination (well, everyone except Krusty that is........)....
