Picked a vintage SNAP ON tool box today

Answered an ad on CL for a Craftsman 1/3 grinder. Met the guy and checked out the grinder. It had a large crack in the mounting base so I passed. He was disappointed that I passed on it , so I asked what else he had for sale. Showed me an old Snap On tool box. As I have all Snap On tools, I decided to take a chance at $80 for a 12 drawer unit. Complete with 2 keys. Did a little cleaning today and will polish it another day. Will handle my Snap On overflow!! Before and aft pics. J

I've got a roller and middle box in that style, and have been looking for a chest. That's an unusual drawer configuration, and very cool. I'm very jealous. Nice score!

Great score. MY SO boxes had the model and dates on the back of the boxes. I needed a flashlight to read the stampings.

1979+/- a year or two. They weren't made very long, and for the canadian and over seas market. KC506 or something like that. It should be stamped model and year on the back.
