Went tool shopping today at the flea market and scored some goodies. One of the gems is a Schwinn 10 mill combo wrench.
The SK 1/4 ratchet is unusual as it is stamped custom. Any ideas??

I have that exact same spinner handle from the s-k set. I know its from the era that they ran the Frankenstein ratchets. Can't remember if it was the facom era.

I believe the SK Custom was a slightly lower end version sold at auto parts stores in "peg pack' hangars. I've had the 3/8ths and 1/2th version, but its the first 1/4 version I've seen.

Schwinn approved tools are highly collectible in some circles. Is it a Snap-on?
Nice pickup!

The Schwinn is a Snap on.
Why does the center drive rat sell for so much, there seems to be a lot of them.

The Speeder Ratchet was only offered from 1960-1963. Then it disappeared. Until recently, they were only seen on ebay and rarely found in the wild. The last couple of months they seem to (relatively) be coming out of the woodwork. My first one, I paid collector prices for, it killed me to click the bid button. The second one I found for 50¢ as a rusted lump at the bottom of a wet bucket. It was the only one I've ever seen in the wild in years of searching.
