Who has used Proto impact bit sockets?

Many times I've wanted to grab bit sockets (hex and torx mainly) and put them on an impact but I don't. I'd like to get some good quality impact rated bit sockets and I saw that Proto has plenty of them.

I've got some Proto tools, and I imagine these are as good as any. But since I can't see any in person before I buy some, I'd like to at least see if anyone here has personally used them and can vouch for their strength. and durability.

I've used a lot of different bit socket brands, and with the exception of SO and SK, they (especially torx) twist under a load, sometimes on first use with a long ratchet.

For what it's worth, we've also got a set from Grey Pneumatic that work fine. They cost less. We've got a shop that sells GP right down the road, so warranty replacements are easy. Any impact socket will wear out if you use it enough.

I've been contemplating GP vs Sunex for a one piece torx impact socket in the future. Proto doesn't make the one piece impact torx sockets like they do hex sockets. Just torx bits that fit into an adapter like the ones that come with an impact screwdriver. (Blackhawk makes them though).

Nothing wrong with GP. If they said "USA" instead of "Taiwan", everyone would be using them.

i have a hex bit set from proto. the set screw loosen up with use and the bit wiggles a bit but the hex bit themselves do not fall out.
