Where did you get the strut socket from?
Cool towel!
The 3/8" impacts seem to be on back order nation wide right now...![]()
Ordered a 1200k Nitrocat too. I'll have to get some torque sticks so I don't tear off any wheel studs.

Save your money, torque sticks don't work correctly with clutch driven impacts. Unless you work in a tire shop you should just stick with running lugs on slowly and torqueing with a torque wrench.
That Hazet socket looks Good, is that to allow you to hold the nut while turning the shaft on the shock or vise versa? Would like to know more about it please, you can PM if you want to save others from the explanation. Much appreciated!
sealey 1/4 drive coloured sockets and a lock for my beach chest

People may make fun of them but having a colored socket set makes it really easy to identify the socket.

You use a hex key/bit/socket to hold the piston while you loosen/tighten the nut with the cut-out socket.
They've now been superceded with pass-through sockets:

The only problem with the pass through socket set is torquing the nut to spec. I guess you could use a crows foot on your torque wrench

In the 8 years i worked as a mech i never once torqued a strut nut. Most were air gunned on.
We just use an impact on strut bolts
Most interesting. I learned something today, thanks! I'd love to know the reason behind it if you feel like typing it out.
I'm not in a tire shop but I do plenty of tires since I'm the new guy/low man on the totem pole. Good advice, thanks!
No pic of my set but I finally sold my soul to the truck. Red was the color on sale and the only set on the truck so it's what I got. I broke two Mastercraft pry bars in the past week and said enough was enough.
