Starter tool kit

I have a buddy getting in to cars. He just picked up a 98 SS Camaro that needs some work. What is the best deal right now on a starter tool kit? Something small that he can start with and add fill in the gaps as needed. He is needing some parts to fix up the car so he isn't looking for Snap-On priced tools.

tell him to get a 3/8th milwaukee fuel impact wrench and some decent impact sockets. I wish I had one years ago.

I've had good luck with Makita impact sockets, should pair nicely with the M18 Fuel 3/8" impact.

Just go buy the tools you need when things break. with that car, he should have an extensive collection in no time.
