I have a Chicago electric 151 the old blue one. The problem is I was welding and took a break now the wire doesn't feed know, I can here the relay clicking and feel the motor humming at the reel. How do I determine if it's the relay or motor, the relay is part of the board my best guess would be run a jumper to the motor and see if it works? If it is the relay then I have to buy a new board for $70, a new welder for $170, or upgrade to something better for a little more cash.

My first thought but no, I cleaned everything and even switched tip cause I thought maybe I had some splatter on the inside holding it up.

Make sure you have proper tension on the feed roller. You didn't happen to kink the liner did you?

Cut the wire at the feeder and see if it works (feeds) then. If so, you may have a tip problem or a kink in the wire liner somewhere.

I figured it out I have a bad trigger, swapped it with another I had and works again. I'll be watching for a good deal on a better welder as I think this maybe a sign that I work this one more than its built for.
