Has anyone had problems taping these cans? I have a can tapper that has worked well for me on several occasions but today I was unable to get Freon out of two cans. I even tried another can tapper without success. The guy I was trying to help bought the 134 at HF so that maybe the problem. I'm used to working with 30lb cans not 12oz could I be the problem? I do understand that you screw the needle in all the way and then back it off to withdraw Freon. These 12oz cans seem to be a real PIA.

Are you talking about the tapper that piercies the side of the can? I've never used one of those, I have a tapper that just pierces the top of the cans after you thread it on to the can.

I don't know what HF has for 134, never brought it, but the cans of 134 I have brought elsewhere have not been a problem with using the tapper that threads onto the top of the can.

Have only needed to do it a couple of times but I also have the hose that screws onto the top of the can and it works fine. Cannot remember what brand 134 I got, whatever Advance Auto had ? I wonder if he is buying the junk with the leak sealer in it and that has anything to do with it ?

The device I'm using screws on to the top of the can. The cans seem to have a rubber seal in the top that closes when you remove the tapping device.

Never seen one, must be engineered by those that supply poison dog food, and hack our gov. computers.
I'll have to pick one up .
