What would you do with a loner light?

I can post pics if needed, but I'm looking for suggestions about a "loner light." I call a "loner light" any light that a previous homeowner thought was a good idea to just throw in somewhere, and wire it all by itself so that no light switch can control it, except the one immediately next to it.

A few things;

This loner light is in a spot of my house that I literally would have to walk up the stairs, then backtrack to even turn on. So, it's worthless and unusable right now.

I don't want to remove it and sheetrock over the spot. I'd really like the extra light.

I'm hoping there's some kind of new fandangled way of controlling this loner light from either another location, or I'm just going to have to put in a motion detector set to 30 seconds or something annoying like that. I want the extra light in the bedroom, but as of now I haven't really looked into how I can use that light without doing some crazy re-wiring. Is there some kind of wireless control that I can attach to any of the other switches in the room that will make that light work, too?

A suggestion of, leave it be, never use it, are okay as well.

According to the old farts on this forum, you'll need to run 400' of MC cable thru your walls in 2" conduit to a lighting contactor on a separate circuit with a 3 way switch and a 4 way switch.

Or you can check out this thread: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=293609

Just change the wall switch and then stick the remote on the wall. You're in for about $70.
Good luck
