You have to go through this link or find it in their "Best Sellers" sales flyer. Its in other flyers but it ranges from $40 to $55 in those

I picked mine up today. Its an extremely nice lamp for $35. I was getting ready to shell out $150 for a similar luxo lamp until I came across a few polishers that were using these. The metal feels heavier gauge and solid, the springs mechanisms work perfect and the lens is clear and undistorted. The 90 LEDS produce a bluer light, but it is bright and does help to see things better

The dust cover is a nice addition since I wont be using it that often.

The 3 diopter (1.75 magnification) is perfect for most bench work with a focal range around 13". If you go up to 5 diopter the magnification is 2.25 but the focal point is around 4" IIRC. Too close to do any soldering under it.

Pics updated

I know it appears distorted in the image but I think that is a combination of angle and taking a picture. It doesn't really look that way when viewing it with your eyes. I tried to keep every thing in the same location except for turning off the light and pushing the lamp out of the way

Does it have the mounting hardware? Did you by chance also buy the wheeled support? Why did you choose this over the fluorescent version? Price?

thanks! May pull the trigger on one of these.

Comes with the clamp. I didn't buy the wheels. The florescent has the transformer built into the clamp which to me sounds like a terrible idea. I honestly picked this one though because I had handled it first and knew it to be of satisfying quality for my purpose

Only two reviews on Amazon, one not so sparkling.

But it is cheap and seems reasonably functional. I'm in!

Thanks OP.

That guy kind of sounds like an idiot and other than the screeching and squeaking he doesn't have any legitimate *******. He should of stopped there, the rest just sounds like whining. There isn't much difference between a 3 diopter and 5 diopter lens and if he was too lazy to read the 2 words following the ones he did read its his own fault. I can't even imagine the situation hes trying to use this in where gravity acting downward on the cover is not enough to keep it down. Again the guy somehow missed that the cover is clearly shown in the picture without a latch.

I should mention mine doesnt screech or squeak at all, so if yours does make them send you a new one. MCM is good like that

While on the subject of reviews check them out here

Sounds like RFI could be concern if you are near sensitive equipment and some units are showing DOA with a flickering strobe effect to the lights.
Again MCM is good about returns

I already discussed the blue tint

Looks identical.

I doubt the noisy supply will be an issue for me, I'm not really multitasking like that. Maybe? We'll see.

Otherwise it can go in the garage and I can get a nicer one for me lab.

My magnifier/lamp came, it is indeed great for the price.

It's not high end by any means, but it's nice and quite useful. Unfortunately the table clamp was MIA, it says that it is included on the side of the box.

So I sent an email to MCM electronics and they replied within 24 hours. They are sending a whole other magnifier/lamp kit. Sweet!

So here's to MCM Electronics and there great customer service!

I thought my clamp wasn't in the box too. It was taped inside one of the styrofoam pieces. Not saying yours is in there. Just saying it is easy to overlook. I know I almost missed it.
