When the Craftsman Ball Grip Screwdrivers were introduced last month, they were priced at $9.99.

Now, the Phillips and slotted models are on sale for $6.99 each. Here are the links: Phillips and slotted.

Here is a recent GJ discussion about the Craftsman Ball Grip screwdrivers: LINK.

Just picked up a pair. Had a little $5 off coupon I've been saving so figured why not. These seem pretty nifty. Thanks!

Edit: I don't think the cashier had even seen these before. He was looking at them while I was checking out and said "you must have the strangest tool collection." I just laughed and said yes I do.

I had $13.96 in points so I got both for free. Love the ball grip for being able to bear down on a stubborn screw.

Thanks for the tip.

Had $10 free reward points, so I bought one ball grip screwdriver and also a 1/4 long shank square (robertson) bit. It fits perfectly in it the ball screwdriver. These are made in Japan, but only the packaging says that (not actually anywhere on the screwdriver handler or reversible bit).

I'm a huge fan of the Wiha (German) screwdriver soft finish handles. These aren't quite the same, but equally as comfortable I'd say. Nice thin portion for the fingers, and the thick ball at the top to fit into your palm.

The two in one PH1 and PH3 freaks me out a bit. I suppose I'll see how it works with time.

Got both of em for $4 or so after points. Seems like they'll come in handy for low torque stuff. Used em to put some new handles on a coffee table already.

F***king Sears Website. I had $15 in Surprise points good thru 6/17. The site would not allow me to redeem the freaking points... The "Redeem my Rewards Points" button was simply not there.

So, I called Sears. Nice little girl was able to make it all happen. Had to buy 3 of them to use all the $15 in points (cannot use points for shipping; go figure).

So, $3 something plus 5.99 shipping plus $.51 tax = $9.23 for 3 of them shipped. Not too bad. Will make good gifts.

Many thanks to the OP for this find.

Almost the same thing happened for me. Had some points and just could not get the sears site to let me actually buy anything! Set it aside a day, then the stuff on sale was off sale completely! Gave up!

For those looking for something else interesting to get from Sears if you have points, they have new Craftsman Gimbal rachet hand drivers out. I think these are rebadged GearWrench ones. $29.99 for two right now on sale. Mixed reviews on these mainly whether anyone really needs them or not, but if you are in real tight spaces, would be useful. - Paul

I picked up one of these last week for free with some no-strings-attached surprise points I got last week. Actually a fairly nice driver for a 3-in-1, I put it in our battery drawer so my wife will stop going after my good Craftsman Pro drivers when she needs to swap batteries in something.

dodge610,

The Craftsman Ball Grip screwdrivers come in Phillips and slotted formats (no Torx). The color choices for both drivers are red, blue, and black.

I picked up a blue slotted and a red Philips for 5.99 at my local sears as I recognized they are made by Vessel COO Japan. I like them :)
