“New” lurker from MD

Greetings all! I’ve been perusing this site for quite some time now, even registered a while back. But at the time I registered, I didn’t have a garage, and thus didn’t have a reason to post, let alone introduce myself.

But now I have a garage! So here I am - a car- (and truck!) crazy guy with a baby garage, and I’m hoping to get plenty of ideas from GJ. I’ve gone all the way back through the archives, right to the very beginning, and tried to pry the juiciest bits out to use as reference. Jack’s 12 Gauge Garage is certainly an inspiration, as is OldCarGuy’s new (well, I guess not so new anymore)digs. That gantry crane of his is brilliant!

So I’ll be around - I usually stay quiet and watch from the sidelines, as I’m a firm believer of listening to my elders. And when it comes to having a garage of my very own, I certainly fall into the novice camp. I’ve dreamed and schemed for many years, but thoughts and deeds are two different beasts.

Glad to be here, I’m ecstatic that there is such a helpful community online for this wonderful affliction of ours, and I can’t wait to get back out in my garage!

I know, I know. To be fair, I have not been a constant presence here. I spent some time on numerous other forums, including a Cobra site, A-body Mopars, and of course the HAMB.

I guess I didn't think my comments would help, other than to say "I can't wait for my own garage so I can put that idea into use!" over and over again. Call it self-censorship.

67: with your knowledge your posts would be a great asset here so don't be a stranger. remember most of the schools now don't have shop class so the young guys and gals have to learn elsewhere.
