I know what you mean with the Hansen trays I just got mine today and have some shopping to do :eyecrazy:

Looking through all those universals makes me feel like I need to get my hands on some, are they really that much better than a universal extention?

Does anyone have a real picture of the 3580 set?

I saved a picture just so I can lust over the set.

I bit, bought the two ½" drive master sets and the smaller ⅜" drive master set. Then I went off course and bought the ¼" master set. These are all for my truck, but after CPO's 15% off and the gift cards, I should only be out $200. That doesn't sound too bad at all.

Does anyone know what type of gift cards are issued? Visa gift cards? Gift card towards sunnex products only?

If you need a quick way to spend your new gift card remember you can use them to buy amazon gift cards and add them to your account (I find this is a good way to spend them right away and not have to worry about using them)

Whats everyone paying for the 2568 1/2" SAE impact set? Where's the cheapest place to find it?

I'm finding CPO to be the cheapest for the 3/8" master set and 1/2" Metric set, but can't figure out why the 1/2" SAE is $50 more than the 1/2" Metric set.

The metric set goes to 30 MM, the SAE set goes to 1 ½" that would be like 38 MM, bigger sockets is bigger money. I would have rather had up to 36 MM and paid the extra $50 myself.

It all depends on what you are doing. I am using these as truck tools, so they are probably triplicates. I like the case, so they are all in one spot and I know if one is missing.

Just an FYI for anyone comparing prices: I know tooltopia was mentioned a few pages back for having better prices on the SAE set but their title on the page is incorrect, they list it as the SAE master set but the model number (2569) is for the Metric set which is why it appears cheaper.

The case is a definite plus, though I don't think I'll carry it around much. The set will be heavy and who knows how long the case will hold up. I've had several heavy kits in plastic cases that spilled parts internally when carrying them. The result is a disorganized mess when the case gets opened up.

I'll probably just pull the top off of the case and put the bottom in a drawer and use it as an organizer. Having the bottom half of the case saves me from having to mess with magnetic strips or some other socket organizer.

Based on the two sets that I all ready have I think you will be impressed with the cases. Not one socket moves around in the others, and they have been in the truck a lot. I have not had them out too much in the cold though.

That makes sense. The bad part is every vehicle currently at my house or close to the family is oversees, so I don't use SAE often. I've been planning on buying an early 70s C10 from a neighbor, and that was the only reason I was going to go ahead and pick up the SAE kit during this deal.

I just got a 1/2" impact and have no sockets. I ordered the 2568 set from CPO. I wanted the same range in metric so I also ordered the 2645 and 2646 sets. No rebate on those, but after the sale discount and rebate I'll be in it for $244. Not a bad deal, IMO. I'm really pleased with my Sunnex 3/8" drive impacts.

Why didn't you just buy the 2569 set? Cost me less than $40 after the rebates and 15% off. I purchased both the 2568 and 2569 sets for $101 (after rebates and discount).

http://www.cpooutlets.com/sunex-too...er-impact-socket-set/snxn2569,default,pd.html

If you need the larger sizes in metric you could then add on this larger set, it would give you up to 38mm.

http://www.cpooutlets.com/sunex-too...n2839,default,pd.html?start=4&q=sunex spindle

All three sets would end up being 165.47 after rebates and cpo discount.

Ok, so just to be clear before I screw this up. I've got 2568 and 2569 in my cart at CPO Outlet. It's 300$ with the 15%. Then if I can get both rebates dropping me down to 100$ for 86 total pieces? :eyecrazy:

Is the SX231P any good? I was looking at the HF Earthquaker 1/2" But this would bring that down to 43$ which is even cheaper than HF!

I feel like I should just add 3580 anyhow just in case even though I have a complete 3/8" SAE and Metric socket set! They aren't Impacts...

Well... I fired on this... 570$ coming down to 245$ in 6-8 weeks. It was just too much of a deal to pass up on.

I need to self impose a moratorium on tool purchases or put on some sorta shock collar triggered by visiting the hot deals forum. I think since I joined GJ like a week ago I've spent over 1000$.

Hahaha.

I think you're just "getting up to speed".

There's quite a few deals to be had in the course of a year. Works out pretty well. Not too many deals slip by when there are thousands of members keeping their eyes peeled.

Some deals are of a limited quantity and only a few can get in on it, but many times a big deal like this will come along and EVERYone gets a chance to play.

Firworks - have same problem, just spent about $430 which should come down to $230.

Wait until you've been watching the Hot Deals forum for a couple of years. A fella can go broke saving all this money!

FYI to all about the cpooutlets sale, it ends Monday July 6 at 8:59 PM Pacific Time <- all you West coast guys take note.

Does anyone know how often CPU does these 15% sales?...

Don't know for sure, so sign up for their mailing list then let us know too
We're all waiting for Zoro to have another 30% off sale to spend more $ we don't have, but they don't carry Sunex.

Or wait 4 months for the Black Friday sales ...

Just got my sets delivered (2568 and 2569), quality seems to be good although I have not done more than pick them up. Very pleased with my order especially for the price.

Here's a Sunex "Sarge" knife to use as a filler. I think you'll have to add two of them to your cart:

As much as it pains me to say it, I think I'll have to wait until September to take advantage of this deal. I'm short on cash as it is. Plus, Epsteins day is "Wright" around the corner. I think I'd rather have the cash saved up and put into the checking account before I purchase my 3580 set. Hope you fellas enjoy your gear. Post some pics up to tide me over until September!!!
