Curious...is there much difference?

OP - can you post a side shot of the tool? Thanks.

Not sure if this helps or not, I just ripped it off from their website

Can you post the part number please? My driver didnt get any and has no idea what the part number is.

SHDX80RWB

My dealer said something about only being able to get 10 sets of these... I got the last set off that truck. If you cant get these from your dealer, and you really want this set, I will sell you my set for what I paid, plus shipping. My set is still sealed in the original factory plastic. Let me know....

Irwin? Nice set identical to my snappy set. Got an awsome deal on mine from my old dealer can't complain.

Yup, the tap wrench is unbelievably ****** though. That's going to get replaced by a better one. Not that I use it very often but it irks me that they send such a pos with a nice tap/die set :willy_nil

Not really "new" But I scored all of these wrenches for $100 from the mac guy!
The stubbies are mostly Matco, the 3/4 is Snap On
and a few standard metric wrenches. 20-22MM are Blackhawk and the 23 and 24 are Martin. the 24MM looks kind of vintage. they will be the perfect add on to my metric craftsman wrench set that stops at 19mm. (i only have cheaper long reach wrenches and an expert set with a crazy offset that is actually kind of a pain when doing front end work)
But from what I dug up they're an industrial brand
They could all use a bit of cleaning (lots of gunk built up in the box and open ends of the wrenches. Seems to be some tape residue on it and grease in the stamping indents. going to clean them up good tomorrow (I am a little ocd about tool cleanliness)
I think it's got paint on the 3/4. not sure though, if the parts washer doesn't clean them up, it'll get some paint thinner

also, how do I resize or shrink the URL's for photos like some of the people on here have? thanks everyone

Finally ordered one of these after needing one about half a dozen times a year. 1.5" TPF, HSS, made in USA by XKUT.

Spotted this looking all lonely in a bin of Chinese junk at the local pawn shop. $5 later and it was mine, ALL MINE!

Indestro Select 6470 1/2 drive

forgive me for my stupidity, but are these ratchets any good? I had never heard of them but I saw one similar to this at a pawn shop a few months ago. I thought it was a really weird design. he was asking $20 or $30. it looked really similar to this. I don't know if it was this exact model or brand. just had the open head like this.

thanks

Got a few things in the past couple days.

A new Mac 90 tooth ratchet 3/8'' drive

A Snap On 9/16'' torque adaptor, so I can torque jam nuts while doing valve lash adjustments.

And finally, a Caterpillar rebrand of Snap On pliers. (I ironically enough, have the Snap On set in yellow too, going to bring that set home now.)

I had to make a run to HD to buy a new window A/C unit. While I was there, I strolled to the clearnace end cap and found a 24" & 48" straight edge from Johnson, priced at $5 and $9. I also grabbed 5 of the $1 Diablo recip metal blades. I gave 2 to a buddy and kept the other three. All the wood blades were gone.

I also picked up this Dewalt 25' tape measure and knife combo for $25. It was the only one and I saw it there a few days ago but decided to pass on it. I told myself, it it was there today, it was meant to be and I'd buy it. It has a point on the opposite end, which should break glass. I was considering taking it to the station and carrying it at work, leaving my S&W for EDC at home.

Anybody have one of these SK ratchets laying around? On mine the selector is loose. You can push and pull it out maybe an 1/8" or so. And it rattles when I'm using it. Just wondering if it's normal.

It a separate piece from the mechanism that ratchets. Take it apart and put a dab of grease underneath it. It won't wiggle or move much at all. Won't make noise for sure.

I did that. It's like the selector isn't deep enough or something. It still works great. It's just a little annoying.

image.jpg a few things needed for work. Came in earlier, I personally like the Armstrong branded pipe wrenches. You don't hear a lot about them but they are a quality wrench.

My new spray gun. Using it tomorrow and I'm pretty excited, hopefully an upgrade from the deBliviss starting line primer gun the shop provides.

Why was it not worth the money?

I bought one recently and it worked great (used it on transmission bushings). Much cheaper than the OTC one. Finish is good too.

Nice, i heard good things but never tried one. Let me know how you like it.

The best part of this gun without having used it, is that I can call and get answers and service and never be placed on hold. The machining is perfect, everything seals well, the trigger is smooth and solid. It has a better overall feel to it than the deVilbiss starting line for sure, and maybe better than the finishline although it's been a few months since using the finishline. Customer service is tops tho. I'll post up some pics if I get a chance to get into the paint booth tomorrow.

Well my first mistake was I didn't check the sizes and honestly thought they were larger. Being I have a lathe and tons of round stock, the sizes I got in the kit could be reproduced in quick order. So in reality it's just my own perspective since I happen to have that ability at my fingertips.

Got a new rubbermaid cart from enco during the 20% off and free shipping deal last week to replace my craftsman cart, which was getting really cramped. Im gonna make that the detailing cart now. I wasted lots of space loading it, need to find some wrench racks and im thinking about drilling some small holes to stand the screwdrivers and prybars upright.
