Or dual 28 volt.
What do the US and Canada share for issues that would make milwaukee not import them? I know in the US it could be lawsuits, but not in Canada.
In one of the threads here about the miter saw there were various arguments presented about how the US is a PITA as markets go and Europe is much easier. It didn't focus on liability. I think Stuey started the thread (solely about new EU tools, others were discussing the markets). I don't know how AU plays in though....seems like a distant market with a fraction of the demand posed by the US ---I mean no offense to Aussies!! Clearly I'm not an economist, market analyst, or anything smart like that.
I am sitting here contemplating a 28 grinder, CPO seems to have them? Sheet, where you find the porto for that???
Those portaband V-series batts will look like they take a charge, and all the pretty lights will illuminate when you push the button, but I'd be very surprised if they actually power the tool as they should. The portaband is a battery hog and all of my V28 batteries went down appearing to charge until you actually used them.
I'd say it's not unreasonable to say there isn't a single original V18 or V28 in existence today working properly - they're just too old at this point and weren't fantastic from the start.....but they opened the floodgates for mainstream li-ion.
