Well my first mistake was I didn't check the sizes and honestly thought they were larger. Being I have a lathe and tons of round stock, the sizes I got in the kit could be reproduced in quick order. So in reality it's just my own perspective since I happen to have that ability at my fingertips.

Makes sense. My dad had a lathe and would cut some of those for me before.

Looks like someone bought the three-pack of Proto/Blackhawk pliers on eBay.

Awesome set. I have the same ones.

Yeah, among other things inspired by this place, this site costs me a lot of money, of course the way i see it, it actually saves me lots of money lol.

They are nice pliers, the bent nose are way too tight though, i didnt bother sending them back.

Well this little beauty finally arrived. I must say it sure seems like a high quality tool and not a toy like the GW sets I bought last year. The ratchet actually has some weight to it for it's size.

Found a Ryobi 18V Battery Miter Saw at Home Depot tonight. Used a normal checkout line because of a security tag on it and it rang up a penny. Worked with the manager to get it for the last clearance price of $25. Completely happy with the deal. Played with it some and cut a few 2x4's and so far really like it. I'll probably upgrade to a Diablo blade at some point (made a noticeable difference on the 18V Circular Saw) Should be great for small projects, trim, etc.

I've kept an eye on that thread. Still not sure how I feel about the penny items.

For me it wasn't worth the hassle to get into it with the manager. I tried to find one a couple months back when one of our members mentioned they went down to $25 but couldn't find any in-stock around here. If I had, I would have picked it up and never thought twice about the price. I'm plenty happy to get it on "extended clearance", haha.

I completely understand and agree with you. But as long as you are playing by their rules, I don't see the harm in getting an item for a penny.

Of course since I'm up late I'm perusing eBay and just scored a nice set of flex hose clamp pliers cheap. Pics to follow once they arrive.

Since I posted in the wrong thread, I guess I'm obligated to show off some Knipex pliers I picked up off the classifieds!

One for you U.S.A lovers.
To be honest I had never heard of Bonney before I joined this site. Never seen any Bonney tools in Australia before.

A selection of various flare wrenches I bought from Ebay.

New abrasive chop saw, I had been trying to convince myself to get the Rage 2 dry saw but cutting tubing is rare enough of an event that I can get away without one.

First time posting to the new tools arrival section. Anyway, I just received my new Snap On creeper and this thing is really nice. I was surprised that its made in the USA, even the casters are US. I am really digging it especially the side compartments are super handy when rolling around under a vehicle. I give it a huge thumbs up.

Got this hammer today at hone depot. Do any of you guys have experience with these estwing 3lb mini sledges? I had a snap on 32oz dead blow and I found I didn't use that size that much for the amount of money I spent on it so I sold it. I figured this would be a cheap replacement for a large bfh and have some money leftover

I also stopped by the local welding supply store and got a welding jacket and skull cap thingy...

I love the little 3# estwing mini sledge. Use it all the time welding and stetting concrete anchors, driving big punches too.

I'm slowly getting our welders to convert because I'm tired of hearing them whine about the fiberglass handles on their cheap sledges coming off.

I liked that Estwing sledge so much that I bought a second. Its my goto hammer for mechanic work. Just the right balance to release ball joints with a light flick of the wrist, and I love the steel handles for durability. I carried their steel shingle hatchet for about ten years when I was a roofer for doing demolition and tear off. I also love the handles when my hands are sweaty or greasy. Plenty of grip but no blisters like the Nupla handles give me.

It is a drilling hammer. It is made for tight spaces, chisels, punches, etc. I use 4lbers a lot. A lot of times there isn't enough room for a full length handle. I have a lot of hammers with the handles cut much shorter. Most drilling hammers are like 10 or 11'' long.

Nice! What'd you pay for it?

Got a couple things. My wallet is worn out

You're going to love those pliers. I have the 8" and 10" versions. The 10" is by far my favorite.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

It popped up and I saw it after 1hr and I thought, "Damn, it's gone for sure."

Only email, so I email dude w/ my # and say I'll buy it for full price no bs. Low and behold he texts me back and says, "I text you first because 5 dudes already emailed but offered 3-350." I said I'll buy it now.

Then he tells me "I don't get my new box till Wednesday." (This was Monday). No problem. I tell him I'll drive to his job and give him the $400 and pick the box up later (because I know CL will upbid me yada yada, or he'll raise price...) He says he'll hold it. I insist to lock it down. He says yes. I take him $400 and Bill of Sale.

Tuesday he texts me and says he forgot to delete ad and has 33 emails. lol. I knew it. He's asking why it's so special.

His box ends up coming in on Thursday and I get the cart. All good.

I needed some snap ring pliers to do a repair on one of my Craftsman ratchets and went to Lowes, they don't carry them, went to the local feed store...nope, Tractor Supply? No. Finally found a pair at O'Reillys for $15 under their Power Built brand. They are not the best but I have now used them a couple times and they work fine,

Then a buddy who knew I was looking for some crows feet line wrenches gave me this MATCO set so I can finish my 2500HD power steering pump project. They are really well made and of course made in the USA.
