I have been working on my garage over the last few weeks. The garage had gotten out of control and had basically become a **** dump. We bought a 4 wheeler and needed to get it in the garage, so I set to work cleaning it one Sunday afternoon. After a few hours, I got the back half of the garage cleaned and organized enough to get the 4 wheeler in there. The front half was a mess. Here are some pictures that were taken after a couple of hours of work on the front half of the garage.
I found 2 new to me workbenches on Craig's List. The black one is a Craftsman and the red one is a Waterloo. The old workbench had to go to make room for the new ones. I moved it out to the shed to use for storage. After some clean-up and a lot of sticker and duck tape removal, I have the workbenches in decent shape. Buried in all that junk, I found a rolling mechanic's seat I had bought close to 2 years earlier and never got it out of the box. I have added some new lighting which makes things a whole lot better. I also painted some 1/4" pegboard and got it hung. Here is what it looks like now.
There is still more to do. I have a little more clean up to go. I am going to replace the tops on the work benches. I think I will get rid of the big Wilton vise and get a smaller one. It just takes up to much room and I really don't need one that big. I had planned on putting up pegboard above the black workbench, but I think I may put up a storage cabinet there.
