I used a leftover part of a cabinet to make this new cabinet for a cabinet for automotive stuff. It has a flip down work surface. A place a place to put brake cleaner, PB Blaster, tire pressure gauge etc.

That is actually a great idea to make the cabinet door a flip down work surface!

Nice way to combine the wasted space of a regular door, and to create a much needed work area!!

I stained and sealed the cabinet. It's now permanently attached.

I saw a project in Family Handyman that was raised and wall mounted, with the table on the bottom. But I couldn't do that because I had the electrical panel there. So I flipped the idea and used half a cabinet I had lying around the shop. I had an old entertainment center that was WAY too deep for modern uses. It used to hold our CRT TV and big speakers. So I cut them right down the middle on the table saw. Now I banded the plywood ends with pine screen trim and made some shelves with some scrap I had around.

And it's a "Jeep" cabinet, why?

In his wig you can see a thread where he talks about a garage he's building for his Jeep.

His thread, he can call it whatever the hell he wants!
Nice repurpose, agreed..post a pic when it's completed.

Thanks everyone!

I started posting here in 2008. Or as we old timers say, "Back in aught Eight".
I haven't posted in a while. When I started, it seemed that everyone had their own thing. I love jeeps and wanted a jeep themed garage. At least, one that I could make the most use of my jeep; builds, repairs, enhancements etc. I built the garage myself with A LOT of help from this foum.

Even my thread about my patio is called "Jeep Garage Patio and raised beds". I guess I couldn't come up with a more original name than "Jeep Garage". LOL

If it's in or around the garage, I put "Jeep Garage" in the thread title. These are usually build threads, not repairs or questions. I'm about to begin work on a fire pit area behind the shop. It'll probably be called "Behind the Jeep Garage Mega Fire Pit". It's gonna be cool! with power, lighting, a sound system and outdoor movie screen.
