Got a bit done on my 7.25" post vise today.
Here it is after getting the pivot bolt out. It took beating it with a sledgehammer it was so stuck in place.

And here it is after finally getting it apart. Took several weeks of soaking penetrant, and after getting the bolt out, I was finally able to beat it off with a 6# lead hammer. I'm there for a size comparison. Even without the screw assembly (probably at least 40 pounds) it's still far heavier than my morgan 160. The static jaw/post forging is heavier than my dad's new reed. I'd guess 80+ pounds. Once it has a handle on it, it's got to be over 200#. My plan is to eventually build a very overbuilt steel pedestal stand, and bolt it to the floor with hilti shell anchors. That will probably have to wait until I set up my own shop though, we just don't have the space.
