How can you tell if a Husky socket is a Stanley "Made in USA" vs a REALLY made in the USA New Britian socket? I have a set bought in the 90s which is probably of the Stanley variety, but I want to check.
Post some photos?
From what I've seen the Husky by New Britain ;look very similar to the Craftsman circle H and BE series sockets. Both have the knurled ring around the base.
Some that I have have the H underlining the usky
As far as an era time frame probably mid 30's or so, AFAIK?.

Hey Jerry,
Husky was owned by New Britain from the 1930s, but survived as a NB brand through the Litton Industries acquisition in 1968 right up to the National Hand Tools acquisition ~1984. Stanley acquired the brand when they bought NHT in 1986.
