I saw this add on my local Craigslist and offered him a price. Got a reply back from him saying it's already sold. Guess how much it apparently got sold for.
Here are the pics from Craigslist:

Hmm. It's a brand that I don't have an example of in my collection (& I want one), it's in really good condition and even has the original box. Can't tell from the photo, but might even be NOS...

I'd have paid him C$20-25. You'll probably say it went for more & that's a bit surprising as P&C is not a well-known brand (anymore) as it's long been forgotten...

It's a brand that I've come across a few times at pawn shops here and I do have a single combo. wrench. You're right that the name doesn't really come to surface even in this forum, and so therefore, it shouldn't fetch a high dollar.

Let's just say you'd be surprised at the price it got bought for.

I still can't get to grips with that; that someone would pay that kinda money for something like that. ....did I mention the word "that" too many times there? :p

I guess to each their own ... whatever floats their boat.

probably 500 bucks from anigerian scammer... lol....

You could be right....... I just bought a tool off craigslist and the seller told me he was contacted by a scammer. He had never heard of the scammers before and how they work. He was told he would be sent a check for $1000 for a item he was trying to sell for $150. All he had to do was send back $500. :lol_hitti

Its surprising to me that more people still don't know about the scammers.

The Peterson price tag is $2.45 and the Skaggs Drug Center price sticker on the box is $1.89. The Skaggs receipt is for 80 cents plus tax, so I guess it was on sale. Since I have the receipt maybe I should try to take it back....

I found it on ebay when I was looking for USA made vise-grips. $10.51 plus $8.40 to ship.

To the OP, I was thinking it is worth $10. If he really got $500, it was from a scammer. I have had scammers contact me numerous times dealing with Craigslist.

To Tool Pants, you got one heck of a deal. That is one tool that even I wouldn't use, and I am not into tool collecting for the sake of collecting.
