That is over 50% off for these highly regarded impact swivels, so I think it's a hot deal?

I was looking to buy just the metric one at $180 since all craftsman sets appeared to be ~20% off, I've had it on my wish list for a long while. Then I noticed that the full set was $10 LESS. No brainer.

Caveat: according to pics and parts list, looks like this is the Craftsman Industrial line, which does not have the easy read markings.

From the PDF contents list:

Thats a really good price! Although I cant imagine needing the SAE's. A 10mm would be nice. I dont see any all metric sets at sears. I like the armstrong 47-913 but at near $40 a socket its not going to happen..

This set has been this price for a while now, so don't rush out to buy it if you want to think about it. It is a nice set though (now how often will I use it... that is another question)

Sad part is, when it is time to warranty them out, what are you going to get?

I turn wrenches for a living, so this is important to me.

Always SK, still made in the USA and comes in a nice blow molded case.

I almost guarantee warranty on these will be store credit of some sort (assuming there is a store to give credit to...)

This is one of the funnier excuses I have heard.

Have you done the math on this yet?

So lets say you break 2 or 3 of your most used sizes of these over the years... Then what. You try and warranty those... Ok on the outside chance they do stop making them, then you must buy replacements... You go buy the Matco versions of those and you are still so far ahead vs buying an entire Matco set it isn't even funny... and its the exact same socket.

Odds are though you can just warranty the Craftsman.

Also, SK is just as likely to stop making theirs as Craftsman is.

Keep complaining I guess.

I agree with most of this logic, but Sears does not stock these. Some Sears will give a gift card so you can order the socket yourself, others will tell you you have to wait for them to come in, despite it being an item they don't stock.

I'm still waiting for a pic of the SK pinless swivels.

Yeah, I would assume the Craftsman warranty process would be through the mail only since these are not carried in-store. No different than SK/Proto/Wright/Gearwrench.

This set is fantastic! I bought it probably 8-months ago. I have had no problem with them. I must admit I have not had any reason to use the ASE sockets, but I rather have and not need them then not have them and need them.
As far as warranty I think Graingers might be able to warranty these. They seem to be the biggest carrier of Craftsman industrial tools
