Good afternoon everyone, I am David, and I'm from Eastern Washington. The screen name came from a recently moved on 2000 turbo mustang... Maybe I should change it to something less specific? (Mods... a little help here?!)

I recently sealed the deal for a 36x48x14 pole building that a local contractor will be building. I have built my deck, shed, parts of my basement, and miscellaneous other tasks, but I feel a large building is for the professionals! As you can see, I have been a long time reader, first time poster.

I have been reading hours and hours of amazing information regarding in floor heat, electrical thoughts and ideas, air compressor piping, and everything thing in between. I intend to post pictures as soon as we break ground, and keep a thread updated. I plan to do all the "extra" work such as floor heat plumbing, electrical, and finishing myself. I can use all the help I can get.

I am open to all suggestions and questions, most of this won't help without all you guys.

Thanks!!!

Welcome, do you have any pictures of the mustang? And the username is pretty sweet, I would leave it.

4.6: all you have to do is PM (private message) one of the Mods if you want to ask them something. i doubt that they have time to read every thread. i'm not sure you can change your handle/name for GJ after 5 years, but since you only have 2 posts you might even re register if they can't.

that said i would say if you are reading a lot about the garages and things to put in them that you should post questions on those threads because this intro thread doesn't get nearly the eyes that those do. also take a second or minute to post a well done or thanks if you read a thread and got something out of it. we all help each other and some of us don't mind sharing information, but just want to hear or know that somebody is out there appreciating what we write.

cheers

also are you in Tri Cities, Spokane or where? good luck with the new garage build too.

Thanks! The screen name isn't that important, and I didn't expect a mod to read it, so I think Ill keep it now.

Im north of Spokane...

4.6: i'm on the cool side of the state near Seatac airport. it was close to 90 today and will be for about another week.

i do like your Avitar and do you have many on your side of the mountains? I've got a few flying in front of my house every other week and once in a while they fly a few feet above my house. i know i'm not at the top of the food chain when they are close.

you on a farm?

cheers

Not so cool at 90 huh? Yeah, its been a very warm summer for sure. We have a large amount of eagles up north here, especially around the lakes. They still have hungry youngin's and they are actively fishing... quite the site!!

No farm, just a couple very lightly wooded acres. We are eye balling a couple 10-15 ac lots that have the perfect heavy woods in the back, and meadow up front. But with these shop projects reducing the checkbook in a hurry, the property is getting to be a distant future thought.

4.6: sounds like a great area. I've had a few guys i knew move over there out of the rat race of Seattle and they don't complain a bit.

good luck on the bigger place and you'll figure out what to sacrifice or do to get it.

post more so more of us can get to know you too because we are a pretty friendly group with a lot of different interests.

any pictures of eagles fishing or flying to post you won't hear me complain. post them up if you have some.

cheers
